About DDP, it's certainly a matter of taste...because almost every single post here defending it made me think "...and that's good?"  :V

I can probably not find a Touhou stage with the same level of intensity as S6 in DDP. Simply put you can say that DDP just doesn't have the same addicting effect on me that Touhou has. Yeah, that's probably it. Nothing wrong with DDP, i understand that now. It was nice to get this talked over though.

It's a struggle to find another Cave stage at the same level as DDP S6 too, so it's a pretty disingenuous argument.  :V

Suffice to say that DP/MHS (not Cave in general, look at Guwange or the ESP series) have weak bosses, though they're getting better with Futari and DaiFukkatsu. And that Touhou stage sections are definitely the series' weak point, though they've gradually improved with almost every game.

I don't understand how anyone can play with Cave's rotating, pulsating neon blobs and complain about animated bullets though.

Did a bit of theory on all of Byakuren after a few test runs. Found out some pretty interesting information that I could use, particularly on "Devil's Recitation". These days, 2 mistake runs come every now and then; 3-4 mistake runs are the norm. Anything higher would come from losing focus.

Capturing Byakuren's First Spell Card twice in a row should count for something with ReimuB and all "difficult" waves (none of the slow bullets overlapped). At the rate I'm going, I reckon that I could probably get to a 40% capture rate if I can keep calm and focused with ReimuA. Maybe 20-30% with ReimuB. Eh, all estimation though.

2-3 more days of this "project" and then we'll see what the "true" results are.

Also, I find Murasa pre-to-last spell easier that normal, the gaps are more easy the see.

14/2 essentially over. I think I'm back to where I was (back in November). Might as well start doing full runs again. Spell Card history for Byakuren's First with ReimuA? 8/14.

I also found out what I was doing wrong in "Gray Test Tray Shure". Cap rate is now ~25%. Perfect Stage 5 should be just about "baked" ready.

While also grinding UFO Stage 6, I also went around and did other things throughout the fortnight. I have now officially timed out every Spell Card in UFO, save for the last one. Many of these I have also done No Focus timeouts. A full list can be compiled, but :effort: and :timeconstraint:
I'm also going to suggest everybody to go and look at the survey results if you already haven't. Get a feel for which games seem to be the easiest among the population and stuff. You know which thread.

A well-played Reimu is more "broken" than Cirno, to be honest, even if whomever did the poll didn't think so. I got a Reimu NV lunatic 1cc on the first try, and NFNV wouldn't be much harder. But I can't be arsed to do it knowing that I'd need something between 5 and 10 successful runs to save 1 replay.

But yeah, the 132 million were mostly the result of Cirno breaking the AI way before it was supposed to yield, to win the game with three spare lives for massive score.


Edit: oddly enough, I had never seen Cirno really work so well for me as far as offensive power was concerned, and was doubting she could even break the game at all - everytime I beat Shiki with Cirno I needed about three minutes which is the norm. Either way, I still think she's not more broken than Reimu or Shiki.

I actually handled "DML" the wrong way.  :V
There's a much better way to handle it. I'll see if I can get a replay up after dinner.
