You recall Longcat. He was a bit of a jerk. You recall he had a method of artificially making himself 'taller'. Most of it was illusion over magical extension, but you could probably manage to replicate the extension to EXTEND YOUR REACH.

Thinking closely, you recall your more humanoid shape is due to a FAMILIAR merging with you. At the time you became a shikigami, you were not actually strong enough to take humanoid shape on your own. While you're not sure if you are now, that FAMILIAR is definitely what is keeping you humanoid. You'd need to find a way to separate it from you.

THE INCIDENT was a simple event. SHE ran around and began attacking everyone, with lethal intentions. Many of the most influential and strongest youkai and humans fell. Most notably, REIMU HAKUREI, who's death both made the barrier around Gensokyo unstable, and meant the end of the SPELLCARD BATTLE SYSTEM. Eventually, SHE was 'killed', really escaping to a cave with you. Youkai began fighting for supremacy after that, and with the spellcard system abolished, began killing each other. Relatedly, its why everything is kind of a shit hole in Gensokyo right now, she apparently hated vegetables as much as people.
