Well? This may not be too weird, but randomly stumbling on the song Captain Murasa gave me the incredible urge to play her stage before bed.

Or sometimes I'll randomly get the urge to play PCB when it starts lightly snowing outside, that sort of thing.

Anyone have any particularly weird situations that make you want to play some Touhou?

Same here, hearing the original ZUNmusic once made me want to randomly play PCB, first time in four or five months. That's how I 1CC'd it. Like that. Second or third go, and there is gone Yuyuko.

In early fall, I think at the end of September, I went hiking to the mountains with my family. The autumn forest, the little river, the forest road, all reminded me of MoF (mostly Stage 3). When I got home I really had to play the game again.

At around Spring - Summer time, a tree just outside my house usually sprouts pink blossoms. I Usually end up playing through PCB afterwards

After listening to a character's theme several times I usually go straight to practice her stage.

Or when I simply want to tap buttons to the music's rhythm.

When folks talk about 1cc stuff. It usually gets me saying "Hey maybe I should try that too." But I usually let it fall to the wayside and I forget.

I haven't touched a TH game in so long...

While working on my school project I had to pick music to put in it.

I ended up playing UFO after wards and gave up after dying to Shou's Green spinning lazor thing on easy.
I still suck at Touhou.

Listening to Deep Mountain.

This requires a little bit of explanation though~

Deep Mountain is a wonderful, wonderful song that means a large amount to me because it is the first Touhou song I heard. Back when I had no idea what the hell Perfect Cherry Blossom was and my friend showed me it. Everything is in Japanese so I have no idea what the hell this game even is, and really have no idea what's going on. And Deep Mountain starts playing and it is legendary. The song is fast paced, beautiful, and sets the mood for the stage perfectly.

Every once in a while when I play PCB, I can remember this feeling and it is wonderful <3.

I tend to reflect a lot on what I've done during the day. Occasionally I will reflect that I haven't played Touhou in awhile. Usually out loud. And I need a break from Super Robot Wars. Yeah.

There was a garage that had falling snowflakes projected onto it I saw, and reminded me of one of the music rooms, and made me want to play touhou. As simple as that

Not playing Touhou makes me want to play Touhou, and playing Touhou makes me keep playing until I rage quit which makes me come back and play more.

I don't quite get the urge to play Touhou as much as I get the urge to make Touhou (danmakufu), mostly from listening to music. For instance, Dreamy Pilot (LLS unused) is giving me ideas for a PC-98 styled Touhou fangame (which I must ignore because I'm already working on like 3 things right now on top of real life stuff).

I had my first lecture for the course "Monsters, Robots, and Cyborgs", and the professor mentioned several times how traditional monsters were associated with boundaries, either by guarding them (i.e. the boundary between the worlds of life and death) or deliberately crossing them (i.e. no respect for social rules).

All this talk of boundaries makes me want to unlock Phantasm even more than I already did. Provided I can get the game to work again.
