I's say Shinki, Yumemi, Mima and Rikako would be who I want most to return but all of the PC-98 cast would be nice, mainly because I find them interesting.

Chiyuri Kitashirakawa and her boss. Although it would be pretty fun if Chiyuri started her own university of sorts and it completely flopped, like people went there all day to play video games at the computers, or Chiyuri being incompetent at whatever she's teaching. Oh, and everybody would sit on folding chairs.

Kana Anaberal would also be nice to see back, preferrebly living together with the Prismriver sisters or something like that. Maybe running in with Yuyko or haunting the Yakumo mansion before having a showdown with Yukari?

Kurumi should come back because she is a jerk as she throws a bullet at you before your conversation with her, making you die while she makes all that glitterly stuff before the real battle starts :V

I think Elly should return too. Her batle's super original and it'd probably be beautiful if ZUN would remake it (I'm imagining her profile be something like "Abilities: Manipulation of tiles")

And I also like Luize because she shows simpathy to humans, and likes seeing new places (I wonder if her reason to go to the human world was sightseeing or causing some chaos.. I also think she's the mastermind behind MS's events)

Mima, just because she's evil and I want her and Yuka to go on another rampage in the future.

Elly, because Yuka.

Lots of PoDD love in here lol. Maybe I should play that one more...

I'm liking the Shinki-, Mugetsu Gengetsu-, Elly-, Sariel- fandom here, but where's Luize?? Only mentioned once (maybe twice?)? She deserves more than that! She has the cutest outfit in the game, a wonderful personality, and she was going on vacation before she got beat up! Don't tell me you can resist falling in love with her, especially with the few pieces of fanwork depicting her with her luggage ready for a good time!!

Oh, Yuki and Mai are cool too. I'm glad they got mentioned. Yumeko needs more love though. Mima.... already has enough people rooting for her heheh.

And I'm not against them coming back. Sure with canon comes fanon, but there is definitely more good coming out of fanon than bad... IMO. I understand that some people don't want fanon to ruin their image of their favorite character, but I ignore fanon that I dislike, embrace the fanon I do like. Having some PC-98 characters gain some more popularity would spawn music arranges (something I'm always looking for

) and other doujin works. Sure, there will be bad memes, remixes, and manga, but I don't care. I only remember the good stuff anyways.

I dunno, Just knowing what they've been up to and if they're actually still around is worth enough for me, it beats having to sit through the public execution of any self respecting PC-98 touhou. PC-98's sancturary is it's obscurity, this is what I've come to learn and embrace over the years and that's the only thing that's worth staying around for too.

If fanon wasn't as annoying and retarded as it is, then maybe I'd have some forgiveness, but I can't see any good with them getting their hands on PC-98. I just can't.

And about the fanon, I don't really think it really matters if there are bad/good memes. If something about X character's fandom bothers me, I simply ignore it, just like you said. Oh yes, and one of the things I mostly want from the PC98 era now is more arranges (Especially extensions.. scarlet phoneme should be expanded..)

I also really like Elly for some reason. She has almost no profile whatsoever, and I've heard Bad Apple!! enough times, but I the curvy boomerang scythe that she throws at you? That's really nice, and to be honest, I prefer it to The Cap'n's anchors as an example of "boss who throws objects at you in addition to bullets".

Arranges are mainly what I'm looking for too (although more doujinshi, fanfics, and artwork would be nice). Someone mentioned this.... and sure, new arranges of FM Synthesis music won't have its original charm, but the new stuff has its merits. Comparing apples to oranges here.

I understand your point, and maintain my position. Although if I did see things your way, it'd probably be better for me because, as much as I hate to say it, I can't see ZUN bringing back any PC-98 (let alone a character like Luize). PC-98 will forever be obscure, and you will be content

while I still dream of Sariel's return.
