Ok, so a while back I was peering into the trash gap and saw two gapped posts. I read them. I was confused why they were gapped and there wasn't really an explanation. I read through the rules again to make sure I didn't miss anything and I went through the Touhou Addict Recovery Center using Ctrl+F to find topics relating to it but I couldn't.

So today all that boiled over and I just have to know... what's the 23-skidoo on "waifu" or "claiming" topics? Please don't toss me in the gap...

Its more like an unwritten rule.

Those type of threads are fun at first, but then become creepy as they go on and give off a bad imagine.
That would be my guess. It was closed when I got here.

They don't seem bad now because most of the content is gone

Speaking of the trash gap, the last post there was April 29, 2009. Im pretty sure theres been threads bad enough to be thrown in there since. can't really name any examples though, so i guess my point is moot

We don't. It was basically decided we prefer to simply delete or lock threads instead of making examples out of them completely.

But yes, claim/wife/etc topics are killed on sight.
