I conclude to let it base on ability instead of personality because it would conflict with facts like a good person able to use power of darkness. You have any suggestion to base it something else?

What are you hinting about Japanese? By any chance you mean all human, ghost, magician, shine maiden, youkai, and TENSHI who happens to be japanese are Moon element just because they are Japanese? Are you labeling element base on RACE?
