How do I get V-Sync patch to work?

IT just gives an error message when I load it up... trying to patch EoSD... tried renaming alternately it and the main exe to ?????g???? like was recommended in another thread and that didn't work either.

Ran in Japan mode and renamed the exe 東方紅魔郷. Tried it out on the japanese EXE first. Seemed to work. Then I tried it on the English patched one and I got an error message. Then, whenever I tried to run either TH06 exe, I got an error message.

I'm using Vista.

Okay, finally got it working. But do I have to run vpatch every time I want to play it with the vsync patch? Or does it actually apply it?

You always run vpatch instead of the touhou exe.
