Watching Yumemi explode is soo satisfying. 
Man, really didn't think I could pull this off, I thank Yumemi for being extremely suicidal during the last stage.  :V
What's even more weird is that it was a one-life clear, although there was a very close call at Chiyuri were she died just before twenty or more spirits came crashing onto my face.



More people should play PoDD, it's fun.
I would even go as far as to say it's more fun than PoFV once you get the mechanics down.
It's more fair at the least.

Exactly my thoughts. 

I've lost count of how many times I pulled off a comeback in PoDD, contrary to PoFV where the AI gets down to its last hit and then proceeds to last forever while you get two thousand bullets to the face.

And while Chiyuri is infinitely harder than Komachi, Yumemi is a cakewalk next to Shikieiki. The real problem with PoDD is that stages 1-7 can still put a significant dent in your total lives if you're careless/unlucky while PoFV's stages 1-7 can't.

For PoDD I'd say 7-9 are the tough stages while in PoFV it's 6-9, not 8 and 9 on both... my PoFV Lunatic 1cc had one death on each stage from 6 to 9. To me, Stage 6 Marisa seems at least as hard as Stage 8 Komachi, if not harder. :V Granted, Shiki is still the hardest by quite a lot, though.

It increases the feeling of accomplishment. Like, at the time I beat Evil Eye Sigma, there was exactly two other members of the community that I know of who had done the same. The feeling I got when I did it was indescribable. I suppose it's just a petty thing to me though. My ultimate goal now is to be the first person to do everything. To beat every game on lunatic.

I was shaking in happiness for half an hour after I pulled off that 1LC.

I don't compare the accomplishments of the West with those of Japan, seeing as competing against them is completely impossible.
Compare it with ice skating, where the longest track is 1o km for the men (Japan) and 5 km for the women (the West).

Meh I did A short Run of IN Hard as a test I got to stage 4 and only lost 1 life before I had to exit the game.

It's good for me. Considering it ran at about 90 FPS most of the time.

It is more "insane" as in, the play area is much smaller and stuff flies much faster at you, but there's much less stuff flying around as well. PoFV tends to get claustrophobic, which is a different kind of hard.

True and it was about time already congratulations. I should get working on a Kana 1cc again but I want to beat Yumemi in match mode first to make sure it is doable at my current level.

Ah speaking of which, the Kana 1cc I was working on had some interesting quirks in it you should know. For starters, you should be prepared to outlast your opponent. Think PoFV Lunatic Story Mode but without the second round nonsense (so matches going from 3-5 minutes and higher).

Also, your Boss Attack will be most likely your own undoing. It all boils down to luck when you use a Boss Attack to counter. If you get unlucky, Kana will spam snowball circles... and the opponent makes good use of that.

Though, you probably already know all this from experience.

Match Mode plays somewhat differently from Story Mode IIRC. Watch the video and you'll see what I mean. Which leads us to...

Hmm... my goal was to beat all the Extras without focus, but now I've finished that so I'm not really sure. I guess improving them, or perfecting the rest of the Extras, maybe... though I imagine the rest will take a lot longer than EoSD/PCB because lol Mokou's 8th non-card, BoLaD, Red Frog, Suwa War, Genetics, etc. It's sort of weird, actually; lately I've found myself more interested in these odd things than actually getting around to the other Lunatics like SA or UFO. :V

No, it isn't as bad, as I've seen Medicine take out Shiki in less than a minute far too many times. Still, it does drastically reduce the difficulty to something manageable by a lot more people.

Yes, just the fighting games. I'm satisfied with my PoFV lunatic 1cc even if it was with Aya, because I hate that game.

Err... now that I've watched the video, I don't understand what you meant by it. When he won against Chiyuri it was in a three-minute fight, and the two losses could've been won if he lasted about three minutes as well. The victory against Yumemi took three minutes and a half, and while she did pull a Shikieiki on him in the first round, I've been there as well, even with Reimu - sure, that last run I uploaded was hilariously hax with the orbs (it's even in the tags) and doesn't offer much in the way of counter-arguments, but I was here thinking the guy would take eight minutes to beat her with one life spare, crazy drunken japanese style. Between three minutes and three minutes and a half is the average for Reimu as well (the first run I uploaded ends with a 3:50 victory over Yumemi).

Of course, that doesn't mean I don't find Reimu much superior to everyone else - her ofudas are superior to pretty much every other lvl1, both for offense and defense, and yes, her ying-yangs do yield you some easy victories... but that video isn't exactly proof of how easier it is to win with her (in part because it's hard to see what's going on, which always makes judging snowball dodging difficulty harder). If anything my now near-100% odds to 1cc it with Reimu and 0% so far with anyone else is a better measurement (as is my replay against Harakiri Yumemi, of course).

I'm satisfied with my PoFV lunatic 1cc even if it was with Aya, because I hate that game.

The only survival I find harder than Red Frog is Suwa War. :V All the others I can capture consistently without too much trouble. Is it really that easy?

Start at midscreen height. Always have the Suwako(s) charge at you horizontally, from center screen to outside the screen and back. Stream slowly and vertically. When nearing the top/bottom, wait until the Suwako(s) charge to the outside and quickly move to the other side. Suwako(s) will now charge once to go back to the center, twice to move to the opposite outer-screen, and you'll stream vertically again. Repeat.

When the second Suwako joins in, you'll want to change sides after she first charges, so both are going in the same direction. One of the two will end up moving a bit diagonally; must make slightly larger movements when avoiding them.

Err... now that I've watched the video, I don't understand what you meant by it.

Take note of the play-style of the person. You can see that he was aiming to continually pressure the opponent, hence the opponent ended up yielding rather quickly.
Also, a quick search around the internet yields 0 1cc's done with Kana at the moment. And no, there are no hidden ones lying around either.

Congratulations!   I say do Flansocks next.  I actually beat her first, while Ran was giving me trouble, then came back and trashed Ran in two tries.  So, I'd say she's harder, but a good next one.  (Mokou and Suwako are easier, but come on, it's Flandre!)
