Welcome to the pilot issue of the periodic Touhou tournament. It is meant to gauge interest and see if there are any changes to be made with the format. Play the games and have fun doing so!

=== Tournament format ===
There are two playing weeks: from 1st to 8th, and from 15th to 22nd days of the month.
You play two games each week. You may play either or both — as you wish.
First week is score challenge. Survival, playing preferences and other things are ignored, only score is what counts. Scoring will commence on all modes/difficulties. You only get to use a certain character type in either game which will be announced upon the start.
Second week is special challenge. Restrictions will be announced upon the start.

There is no cap on amount of submissions, there is no cutoff for scores. Completing the game/Extra stage is not required for submission.

moozooh.. I would participate but right now (and for the next week) I must dedicate all my free time towards Battle Garegga.. even though I'm not good with scoring on Touhou (but would spend all my efforts, regardless of that detail)

I'm no score player but i'll give it a shot haha. I'm playing EoSD now on hard anyway though I can't actually beat it (always GO'ed at Sakuya)
I assume we have to actually beat the game/extra in order for it to count right?
