MoF/SA English Patch Crashed/Freezed/Dead! Help!

Ok, I'll be brief, since it's too late and tomorrow will be helluva day...

I installed the English patch for MoF and SA quite a while ago (1 month), and I haven't had any problem until 5 min ago, when I opened the game (MoF first, SA later) but it crashed. Well, more than "crashed", it freezed and won't start, and only displays a black screen. I tried starting them with/out vpatch but FAIL, restarting my pc and nothing; reinstalling the game and then the patch, but nothing, doing all the crappy cleaning everybody knows about and zenzen dame, used my backp, and still nada, nothing, NOTHING! ARRRGGHHH!!! HAAALP!!! I don't know what else to do!

BTW, the Japanese version of both games run just fine, and I checked all of the other games 06 to 09.5 and 12 and the english patch runs fine T_T Anyways, I'll be back tomorrow... gotta do important business

make sure you're running them in AppLocale if you aren't already, despite the Japanese versions working fine (pretty sure they're still "Japanese" programs regardless of English patches)
