Funny Things You Thought When Starting Out Touhou

In my first few playthroughs I had no idea of how lives/bombs worked, so when I started grazing bullets I thought my character was 'losing hp'.
I also thought that Medicine was called Alice, and Eirin was called Medicine (the nurse outfit really got me with that one).

I know that a thread like this already exists, but I wanted to add something to the thread. But that thread is over a month old and because the rules tell me to do so, that's why I am creating a new thread.

Anyways, the first Touhou game I ever played was Touhou Mario - Imperishable Night https://www.smwcentral.net/?p=section&a=details&id=6059, which uses power-up items in order to regenerate Mario's HP. That made me think, that the original Touhou games also use power-up items to regenerate HP. When i got a game over with 130 power points, i thought to myself:"Why am I dead, even though I have 130 'HP' !?"
Don't play fangames, if you haven't played any of the original games.

When I was starting out Touhou, I actually thought that Eirin and Keine are the same person too. I also thought that Mokou is some kind of Reimu's ultimate form only because of similar ribbons on their heads haha.
