Spring is fun. It's noticeably better on Lunatic since there's actually bullets in the stage portions. Too bad it deals no damage, and it can crash the game if you cancel too well. There's a couple mistakes and suboptimal stuff in this run, and I imagine there's some parts where my route can be improved. Maybe 1.2 billion is possible?
At this point, I'm fairly certain Aya is the best scoring character. Her bomb and speed is just too good for grazing. For the trial, it might be worth squeezing out a few more bombs, but I think I'd probably have to save some more resources for the full game. I end this run with 2 spare lives after getting all the score extends. If you add the Lily White extend I missed and the life that presumably gets dropped by the stage 5 midboss, that's only 4 lives for the latter half game. I don't think that's enough unless you're playing Autumn or ZUN decides to increase the number of lives. And if it turns out lives actually add a decent amount to the clear bonus, finding reduced bomb strats will be even more important.

I think the comment on his submission says that the true last boss of the trial version is the stage 1 sunflower fairies. I haven't scored Autumn, but looking at his replay, that's looks pretty true. I wonder how many times he reset over those.

Spring at level 5-6 literally skyrockets the PIV if detonated in dense patterns, particularly in stage 3. Still died a bunch of silly deaths, gotta go fix these.
