東方天空璋 ~ Hidden Star in Four Seasons
Karisa:
Now collett's broken the billion mark in the demo. 1.12b with Aya/Autumn. This is getting ridiculous, and it's not even two full days since release.
Aeteas:
Normal - Aya
Aeteas - 212,337,710 - Winter - Trial-C - 1.1% - Replay
I got 200m on Normal without Autumn options. I imagine Aunn's fight is improvable, since I don't really know what I'm doing. Another improvement would be to find a use for my unused resources. I end with 0 lives, but I have a few accidental deaths along the way. I also have 6 options at certain parts, so it might be possible to do a few extra releases.
Also, in case people don't already know, PIV items actually give points in proportion to your PIV. I think the value is like PIV / 10, rounded to the nearest 10. And it does not scale with your option count, so spamming low level releases might give more direct points. Though I think Autumn is the only one that can clear a good amount of bullets at a low level. With the others, the area is too small. This is part of why Aunn's fight is tricky, since you're building PIV and cashing in at the same time. For stages 1 and 2, PIV is a bit low, so it's probably not worth canceling just for points.
I should try experimenting with Spring. It seems like it plays quite differently.
WishMakers:
Normal ? Marisa
Wish ? 43,343,110 ? Summer ? Trial-C ? 0.2% - Replay
This probably pales compared to other runs here, but for my first attempt in scoring I'd say it's pretty solid.
Summer has some real untapped potential as a subweapon. Having up to 6 flash bombs can lead to a lot of bullet cancelling despite how small the radius is. Using Aya is probably better for this purpose (as she can get in and out of danger quickly) but Marisa scores are underdone :V
The shot itself with Summer is good for picking off small enemies.
This is nowhere near optimal play...failed spell bonuses, unnecessary deaths, and Stage 1 is the only one I routed prior to doing this run. But I hope some of the strats I used can be used in later scoring, either by myself or someone who is better than I am.
Aeteas:
Normal - Cirno
Aeteas - 191,024,960 - Spring - Trial-C - 0.8% - Replay
Not especially clean nor optimal, but hopefully it's interesting. Spring is a bit lackluster in the first two stages, but it's pretty good for stage 3. High power releases cover huge areas, so it's perfect for the dense screen-filling patterns in stage 3. It's quite satisfying to cancel out all the bullet lines that the big fairies shoot. Too bad I can't quite recharge to 6 options for all of them on Normal.
One interesting thing about Spring is that releases give you a brief moment of invincibility, so you can use a release and then go up to the spawn point for a bit of graze. You can even chain low level releases on some patterns. To be honest, I'm not sure how useful it is. I didn't bother trying to take advantage of that in this run since Cirno is slow and her bombs already get quite a lot of graze.
Karisa:
I wonder if Spring might be the better season for Marisa, considering Master Spark's lack of bomb-grazing? Unless the mechanics have changed since the last few games, but much like DDC MarisaA, it seems to be the same old Master Spark with a different coloration.
Edit: collett is up to 1.58 billion.
