SA Easy 1cc, nine lives left. I'm not sure how much of an accomplishment this is, considering I've 1cc'd SA Easy before, but not with this many lives left, and I'd say that it's pretty good, especially considering that I have several stupid deaths scattered through there. Maybe I should aim for a no deaths run sometime soon...

MoF Lunatic Stage 1 zero bombs/deaths.

MoF Lunatic Stage 3 zero bombs/deaths.
MoF Lunatic Stage 4 zero bombs/deaths.
MoF Lunatic Stage 5 zero bombs/deaths.
MoF Lunatic Stage 6 zero bombs/deaths.

Unashamedly studied some flawless stage run replays, and then played fairly consistently with ReimuB to do these. In order of difficulty, Stage 4's way out in front, and then it's 6 > 5=3 > 2 > 1. Possibly 5 should be slightly ahead of 3 since you really need to know what you're doing to tackle it.

As for comments, 1 was done first time, 2 is lol, 3 is pretty straightforward (most of Nitori's attacks are throwaways), 5 is an embarrassment to Lunatic Stage 5s everywhere (ditto for Sanae's attacks), 6 was lame because VoWG went easy on me (double ditto for Kanako's attacks), and 4 is sdhjfadsjk because of Momizi and Peerless Wind God. Though after all that, I'm getting much better at both of them.

Entered stage 6 with 5 lives and finished with 2......I've bombed what I could, didn't take any risks.

LLS Hard, game overed at Yuka's second Stage 6 phase.  Thought it was Spark, ran into the bullets.  Still had two bombs, too.  I did terribly on Elly and stage 5, wasted at least a couple bombs on each.

That was actually fun.

Finally got around to making a better replay of MoF Extra. No focus until Suwako. I used a bomb on Suwako's first non-spell because of panic for some reason,which was stupid of me since I used as the bullets were going away. There are still a few mistakes that I should probably work on. I need to work on "The Red Frog in the Fourth Year of the Houei Era". But overall this is my best reply.

I clearly wasn't all that experienced with Byakuren.  Entered her fight 7/3, came out 3/0 at the end.  Ouchies.

Oh well, a clear is still a clear.  I get to try out UFO Extra now.  Nifty.

Some characteristics of this run.

- Done with no sound. I was playing at school and didn't think of using my earphones at first. It's actually not that much harder. It took some getting used to, and caused a death on stage 3 because of "What's going on- OH SHIT I GOT HIT BOMB BOMB BOMB BOMB". Of course I had 4 bombs in stock. But otherwise the only harder parts are on spellcards giving you an audio cue, and in the case of IN that's for Marisa's Master Spark spellcards, and even then it's mostly only her last spell.

- Perfected Mystia

- Got enough time items to try every last spell, and captured those from Wriggle, Mystia, Keine, and Kaguya's 1st and 4th.

- Hourai Jewel didn't go too badly. I failed it on the first wave (or maybe second, the one that closes in on you), but only died once. It's quite lenient about changing directions. With the way I was moving around I was drawing the infinity symbol and it still didn't wall me

- Is it normal that I find "Shoot the Moon" Hard to be much easier than "Earth Light Ray" Normal? (That's Marisa's spellcard with the lasers at the bottom and the yellow stars)

- Sakuya's Last Word is super easy. 6 tries LOLOLOLOLOLOL. It goes well with how crappy she is in IN.

- *Watches replay* Entered Hourai Jewel 3/3, finished 2/3 (my death happened when she had about 5% life left).

Spent 30 minutes in spell practice and got past Marisa with 1 death(Keine with 2, but it was better than before)
Guess that I'm a fast learner since I've practiced Nitori, Aya and Sanae for 1 hour then did MoF 1cc easily....

Got to Eirin(I hope that counts....I HATE Kaguya) with 4 lives, blew both her opener and Genealogy, then died on Game of Rising........
Got to Astronomical Entombing with 2 bombs and 1 life, so I've decided to use the first one earlier and save the second one for a deathbomb.....and it worked :V

As a bonus, captured Hourai Elixir yet again.

I decided to hurl another red-white with 2 bonus lives at EoSD Hard to see if I can beat it, and I died once at Cirno's Perfect Freeze... because the 9 makes me 9  . I kept going anyway, and got to Scarlet Gensokyo with 2 lives and no bombs. I wanted to beat Hard as if with default lives... so I capped that bitch  :V

Later I might go and do it with default lives fo REALZ. I mean, if I don't have a stupid death-with-4-bombs, it should be even easier then this run was~

Anyway, Scarlet Gensokyo -Hard- is actually pretty easy for me, now. I wonder if I can get good enough to see it's Lunatic form anytime soon... even though I can't do Hard Mode worth crap on MS, PCB, and anything past PoFV.

Okay, so maybe with this trick the post-Nazrin waves aren't TRIVIAL, but it's certainly easier.

Also, YEAH GREATEST TREASURE CAPTURE! This is my second capture, but that last was one of those that made you wonder how you managed it. This was a "cool" capture.

EDIT: No death runs of Eirin and Kaguya are both recorded and encoding as we speak.

Actually, I've been killing myself with your "method" compared to my "blah, swing across the screen in a U-shape" now that I actually tried several times over.

I'm thinking that a compromise may be reached through further testing. Moving to destroy the individual waves works until they just come and completely overwhelm the screen. THEN try the corner. I'll test this more tonight; I'm determined to master this stage.

Mind you, I personally find Stage 6 much easier to master at this point, even though the first SC is complete garbage.

Yeah, I'll be testing various strats for the post-midboss waves as well. I seem to either have fairies spamming too much crap at me, or having off-screen bullets hit me, or even the very rare... fairies colliding into me (which for some reason, just happens).

EDIT Overall: Sticking with the "Corner Method", but not restricting self to the corner.

Finally got a chance to play some UFO after about two weeks or so of straight work  :V

Decided I wanted to win and see an ending, so I dropped down to hard for a bit.  Crappy run on stages 5/6, but I didn't really matter since I had max lives by Murasa.

Now back to another week of work  I might not have time to get a luna 1CC until thanksgiving break or something.

I used to think Suwako was pretty tough until I went on my 'let's capture every card in every game' thing, and then I changed my mind pretty fast because every single one of her cards except her 7th and 10th are little trick/gimmick dealies where you can use the same method on every time and cap them almost every the time (although Suwa War is still tough but you get the idea), and on top of that her final card is... pretty pathetic, to be honest. She's tough until you learn the tricks to things and then she becomes trivial pretty fast. Also, her stage and Kanako are loleasy. :V

Koishi is still batshit, though. Hardest Extra boss in the series IMO.

Suwako's sixth spell card makes me rage because it's the ultimate clipdeath. It walls you into a tight space with unforgiving hitbox lasers, forcing you into a tight squeeze in between those lasers with bullets...that have large hitboxes themselves.

I am infinitely jealous right now. I attempted UFO and SA Normal clears and died on Stage 6 of both of them. Why can I do so well in earlier games but suck so much at the newer ones?

Because SA's and UFO's Normal are universally regarded as harder than every Normal before? Even though I had no trouble with UFO's normal, I 1cc'ed EoSD's and PCB's Hard before 1cc'ing SA's Normal. Though when I did it it was much like Slaves' clear: with a crapton of lives to spare. Probably some inspired Orin breakthrough involved here as well - at least that was the difference for me.
