With Sumire actives that make hearts are sketchy because they don't give you ammo to actually do damage aside from making your cross. And if they do then they're hard to use because they're only useful when you don't already have hearts. It's this weird tension where you can clog your own board very easily, or end up with the wrong actives for the wrong situations.
I haven't played Myr, so I guess maybe her multiplier is so high that she doesn't need as much ammo as Sumire does. Maybe that's the difference, I don't know.
You're literally mistaking the utility. If anything, that's a problem with myr herself in god damn, her active is so bad.
It's not a damage button. It's a defense button. It's for getting the cross on the board for defensive purposes.
I already have 3 buttons for damage and hearts, but they're 8cd and I don't want to use one of them just for hearts. That's why I want mel.
And while I have myr, she fucking sucks, and I kind of would prefer to overwrite her with something that generates ammo instead and use the quicker, safer option for panic shields.
edit: also I still don't get why you're so hung up on a 5 heart card clogging your board. If anything, that's a strike against ammo+heart makers, because you can get too many with those much easier while just trying to make ammo.
