So what's the general opinion on Kundali? I was kind of expecting his damage reduction to be higher, but I see he's getting a nice buff up to 100x soon. Is the fairly modest but obviously still relevant shield worth the worse awakenings, extra blue combo requirement (which makes using rows trickier), and no skyfalls worth it at all next to Sarasvati?

As far as teams go the first one that pops to mind is Kundali/Blonia/Snow White/Orochi/Scheat/Kundali, but that's got a sketchy lack of RCV and three heartbreakers to one heartmaker. If Sarasvati's main problem is frailty then this team doesn't have that, but I'm not sure it actually counts as "survivable". Hmm. Maybe stacking recovery would better?

Definitely possible. Accidentally sweeping away all of your skyfalling color with skyfalls is definitely a thing. Scheat is my only option there personally. I don't have Hermes or Sarasvati.

True, his skill is solid, although his stats and awakenings are pretty bad so I' m not super convinced he's great sub material at this point.

No-stoned Machine Athena using the GOdin strategy my friend linked me to:

Odin+Jize inherit/Dios/Beorc/Awoken Liu Bei/Freyja/Odin+Raph inherit

Everything all maxed out except Beorc's skill (not necessary), and all +297 (though my Dios was a bit off).

It's a MASSIVE grind, but totally doable. Took about an hour though. Kinda reminds me of the PAD days of old.

Although there are times when adding an extra color to an orbchanger is bad, but yeah, generally that's a decent use.

I'd rather use my shiny new pantheon god to do stuff of course, and I'm gonna give him a try, but inheritable orbchanges are relevant. Could be especially good for row teams since they can struggle to hit six combos on demand at times.

This guide, specifically. Gives a turn-by-turn play of how you should do each floor. It's... very well choreographed.

Well, it's not up YET, but it will be; she's even more orb-demanding but I feel like Khepri might be decent practice for dealing with "can't match low orb counts anymore".  If you can get HER working, Noct oughta be easier to work with.

Oh good, I was prepared to spend many, many stones in the ranking dungeon to get that crown, but we get a sixth awakening latent at 10% as well. I'm still gonna shoot for the crown if possible, but 10% totally works too.

Especially since that one-shot challenge looks interesting this time. Didn't realize it would be back with rotated elements, but I'm game. Pretty sure I got this.

okay so like

6x combos and two Dark TPAs alone won't kill the tourney boss, but 6x combo + 2 Dark TPA + 1 Light match will
that said, if you don't have two dark TPAs available then you'll have to use Sephiroth's orb enhance to break through

which is pretty gross since his team haste will take even more time if you've already used one of your Noctis, etc etc.

Anyways I'm at 5.3% now but like

It's really weird trying to match 4 when we're so used to matching 3.  I am torn on if I wanna keep going or if I want to just leave things as they are and play other stages.

Dacho's cheatsheet for minimal combos for each floor helps a lot
光 = light
闇 = dark
Note that the dark dark 6combo on floor 3 is for aiming for max damage there.

After you have that noted down, try to go as fast as you can for floor 1-4. I find it helps to go for light combo only kills when you can earlier on, because you definitely need dark combos for floor 4-6. Though being able to clear floor 2 and 3 with only 3 combos can potentially save loads of time. Make judgment based on your board basically.
Only go for more combos than you need if it's really really not that out of the way, time probably worth more points unless you're really fast.
Noctis if you really need to, but then you need to do floor 5 without actives.

Preferably you'd be able to dark light 6c for floor 5 but most of the time you board won't event have 6c so noctis if you need to.
Floor 6 pretty much just Cecil+Noctis without a second thought. Unless you original board is really good that you can just go with a noctis active.
Hopefully your board is nice enough for 40m damage.

trying out the ff rank dungeon made me want to pull so I did and got myself a yshtola and a vivi. I'm glad for the former since she looks pretty cool, but I'm rather surprised by her multiplier. Not only does she need one 3 more orbs for maximum spike damage, it's only 6x compared to myr's 7.7 and doesn't even come with a shield. And this is a gold rem mon, what's the why?

Got my rank up to like 6% last night, but it's already fallen down to 8.8%. Was dropping by like .1% every time I finished a run there for a while. And it's no wonder why, with fixed teams, 25-stamina runs, and sought-after skillup drops this is most likely a very competitive and very heavily run tournament.

I feel like I still have plenty of room for improvement though, so that works for me. I have yet to quite get a perfect run, and I'm sure the route I'm using is very flawed, so I can do better I think.
