Age: 23
Strength: Rem, having lived as a street dweller-turned child slave, has been forced to undergo through many things that has developed his senses significantly, though to the extent of which this is true still remains a mystery. However, he is definitely more sharp than your average, reasonable John Doe. As a result, in the battlefield, Rem is able to react a little bit faster to most things going on than a typical pilot who does not have the benefit of such senses, however, this is limited at best and is mainly based on instinct, with a distinct lack of intuition behind it.
Weakness: Rem is very independant, and tends to be distant from people. This means he tends to go off on his own instead of acting as part of a contingent. This is mainly due to his distraught, dysfunctional past, where he has grown distrust towards other people thinking they will treat him as others have done to him in the past. This leads him into situations where one normally wouldn't go into knowing that they would catastrophically fail alone. Rem knows no fear of that, and would rather take that option than to co-operate due to his paranoia.

Visual Description: Rem is of average height for his age, and his growth has not been stunted, but it seems clear that his parents weren't on the tall side. His figure appears to be artificially made slim and slender, almost as if he had been experimented on when he was younger. This is evident because he has well-toned muscles that seem a bit too defined for his body structure. His hair is jet black, and touches down to a little bit below the shoulder-blades. His hair's bangs are frayed and wavy, and some strands of hair fall over his left eye. His eyes are large, and at times may seem to dilate when Rem is scared or shocked, and are red in colour. When looking at him from a distance, one may also make the observation that his hips are more accuentuated than your typical male, also through artificial means. This makes him look rather odd when he's in his casual attire, but he's rarely seen in such clothing anyway. He opts to wear his Terran uniform, however, as it reminds him... of... certain things he would rather not divulge upon. It seems that any signs of the Terran faction itself on the uniform have been torn off, though, instead replaced with... Well, it wasn't quite replaced.
Personality: As mentioned earlier, Rem is a fearful person, mainly influenced by his past. However, he is only open to his partners, again, something related to his past. To those he is open to, he is a genuinely caring person who does not want anyone to suffer the same things he did ages past, however, there is not many of these people he is open to. He has believed that most of the pitiable humans he's encountered thus far are just as savage, perverted and twisted as those who tortured him before. That is to say, his general disposition is spiteful and cold, it is betraying of his inviting, coquettish exterior that was, at this juncture, artificially imposed upon his being, and Rem did not ask for such a fate. This has also made him grow sorrowful and resentful of those who like to tamper with the whims of experimentation, and is strongly opposed against human experimentation. It is unknown at this point if there is anybody who can crack open his shell and make him see the error of his ways, and become more forgiving of people in general.

History/Background: Born to the Farsalina family, a family known for its rather androgynous children, came to bear Rem, who, although he fit the bill nicely, was deemed as a "potential candidate" for true exterior enhancement, and was then shipped off to some researchers and surgeons of the plastic surgical arts. It seemed that numerous researchers were part of the Terran Munitions Corporation. This will be important to note for later. Rem's parents explained to this group of scientists about their plight, and paid them a hefty sum for their troubles. This took place when Rem was seven, which explains the initial fear. The program finished two years later. During these years, Rem met and became acquainted with several people who... coincidentally ran under the same program. This will also be important later, because these people will end up being Rem's best friends sometime along Rem's timeline. After the program was done, Rem's parents were disatisfied with the results. They applauded the scientists for their efforts and let them keep the money, but in the end it was Rem who suffered, who was kicked out as a result. Rem lived several months as a street rat, stared down upon by men and women alike, except it wasn't with a look of disgust, it was rather with a look of desire, envy, something... lustful. Rem ended up secluding himself from society for a while until he was discovered by a former scientist who decided to ditch the group responsible for the program. Said scientist was a crazy pedophile who took Rem for himself and subjected him to all sorts of sick and twisted things, which shall not be mentioned here for the faint of heart and other parties. And then, this scientist with his sick ways, came up with the great idea to use Rem as a source of income, pimping him out to interested "customers," so to speak. This was a great business, don't get me wrong, but it was ultimately sick. This became widespread news and was noted down by the Terran Corporation, who found out one of their scientists went missing. This sick dude fit the bill nicely. He was caught out and Rem was fished out and sent for psychological rehabilitation. It didn't work, but the folks there discovered Rem had increased senses and noted he had potential to become a decent mech pilot.
From there, Rem was drafted into the Terran Munitions Corporation at the tender age of fifteen. The idea of a fifteen year old pilot doing well was absurd, but for some reason, some of their scientists thought it would be a good idea... These happened to be the same scientists who experimented on Rem all those years ago. He was put into a squad where, coincidentally, he was recognized by all his friends back in the operation program, and they formed a tight bond. Though Rem at first was unfamiliar with the controls, it took only a year before he became an ace in his squad, assisted by his friends as wingmen. Rem's particular squad became deadly, and one of the biggest threats to any opposing corporation or such organization. However, it was this exact notoriety that cost Rem his entire squad save for him and two of his friends, who are at present still recovering from their condition. There was a skirmish occuring, and Rem's squadron was assigned at the vanguard as usual, however, those behind him didn't like such a presence anymore, and, at the big clash, many of them abandoned the vanguard, leaving Rem's squadron alone to take on an entire battalion of the Lunar Corporations. The skirmish was to confirm the authenticity of the Warp Saber's development. Said skirmish was a success, but the results are unknown to Rem - he was too busy salvaging the remains of his squad to care.
What exactly happened there? Rem's squadron composed of himself and six of his friends, for a total of seven. They were facing off against a battalion of upwards of one hundred. The battle between them was fierce, but although Rem won, four of them went down during the course of battle. This battle had effectively crippled Rem's usefulness in the fray, as his squad's power came mainly from their unity rather than their individual skills. Rem returned with his two dying friends. Rem was told that his friends would survive, but with major repercussions - they most likely would not be allowed to return to action again. Rem was deeply saddened by this. Apologizing to the Terran corporation personally, he left them and decided not to bother in the affairs of the corporations anymore. That was when he heard the existence of a coalition that existed to avoid the trivialities of the war, and it was aboard a ship called the Colony Ship Gensokyo. Through Rem's now-vast list of contacts, he was able to locate it. He remains cold to said contacts throughout, having witnessed the honorable deaths of his comrades in battle. He will never forget their valiant sacrifice to this very day.
Now, another story is to be told. How exactly did Rem manage to come into contact with an angelic being, a practical schizophrenic and a gigantic psychic disk that somehow managed to learn engineering through sheer will alone? This was all demonstrated through a certain link. That link was the desire to reintegrate. Perhaps through some sort of bizarre coincidence, Rem found himself entangled within this Gensokyo Coalition business, and encountered these spiritually sound beings on separate occasions, the first being Sariel, who he forges the most close relationship with, then Shingyoku, and finally Kikuri. When they all met each other at once, they could feel some sort of energy, some sort of bond between them. This empowered them. And this gave Rem the company that he might need to become normal again. So, they formed a team between themselves... As to how Kikuri was able to perform mechanical maintenance, that is something to be told at another time.
Fun Facts:
- When he was still part of the TMC, his call sign was Lady Luck, because of his skill, was somewhat of a lucky discovery by the TMC, and yet, for all his masculinity, or whatever is left of it, Rem still remains to be an effeminate androgyne in their eyes. It is rumoured that some TMC pilots have deserted them as a result of Rem's sudden resignation from ace status.
- Rem's mech before it was modified or re-assembled as the EFX-F Ophelia was the NTR Pixie, a standard-issue light Solar Frame designed for tactical espionage and reconnaissance. It's a big wonder how Rem and his squadron of other NTR Pixie pilots managed to fight off an entire battalion, but some really attribute it to hard teamwork. Others say their NTR Pixies were modified to have better weaponry. This explanation might seem more feasible, given that Kikuri actually didn't have to modify the weaponry of Rem's NTR Pixie very much in order to make it what it is now on the Ophelia.
- On occasion, he is still given looks of desire by onlookers despite the fact Rem exudes an aura of coldness around him. Perhaps they are desperate, or lonely, or they find "cold" their type. I really have no idea.

EFX-F Ophelia
The Ophelia is a lightweight mech designed for tactical evasion and quick strikes to disable enemy weaponry or battleship engines. The Ophelia is in no way used for prolonged combat, especially melee combat, however, it can be used for skirmishes to its fullest potential. The Ophelia also has the capability to equip several different types of weapons, one at a time, to increase its utility potential or its tactical usage. It is most apt in land terrain, though it is skilled in the air and in space. It can't function properly in the sea, at least, not at the moment. The Ophelia is also open to further modifications with its current frame.
Current blueprints or pictures of the Ophelia are unavailable at the current time.
EFX-F Fr. Ophelia
Equipped with FRAGARACH
The Fr. Ophelia is designed for tactical melee combat, utilizing the powerful Ferrous Radial Grafted Arrayed Actual Claymore Head to deal debilitating damage to single mechs. It is usually used in stealth missions to disable mechs that have been already deployed but are in the battlefield. It can also be used in tactical sabotage.

The ICr-10 Dirk is designed for close-combat quarters, it is a lightweight knife made from the ICr-10 alloy, a fusion of metals designed to cut through a specific kind of material used for constructing mechs. It is usually employed for quick disabling of a mech's body part.

The Sturmfraulein is a built-in arm-mounted laser-vulcan that is a standard installment on the Ophelia. The recoil is minimal and the energy core is special, if it hits the target just right, it can cause a certain body part relative to the target to heat up or become jammed. However, the initial hits are relatively weak.

The FRAGARACH is a specially developed energy blade designed for single debilitating strikes. While it can be used to take down light mechs on single combat, the FRAGARACH's main purpose is to completely destroy many parts of a target threat mech at once.

Ophelia EF-Thruster
The EF-Thruster grants the Ophelia powered flight, and can withstand the weight of most of its armaments. The EF-Thruster stands for: Ethered Force Thruster. It converts mana or energy into a form of quintessence that gives the thruster the horsepower to give the Ophelia flight. The Ophelia's inner mechanisms are the only ones suitable for this particular EF-Thruster to function properly. It can be detached from the Ophelia if necessary.

Pulsar Contact Radar
The Pulsar Contact Radar is a form of reconnaissance radar unique to the Ophelia, it can be taken off from the head if necessary or if it must be replaced with other Ophelia Head parts. The Pulsar Contact Radar acts similar to a typical radar, except it can also detect other disturbances and cannot be jammed or interfered. The Pulsar Contact force can also be amplified by the co-pilot of necessary.

EFX-F DST Ophelia
Equipped with the Dark Star "Teneritas"
The DST Ophelia is used for quick barrages on a large number of enemy troops, utilizing its powerful Dark Star "Teneritas," a detached independent weapon system that works unlike funnels and such, instead acting like Aerods, independently attacking until a certain target energy has been consumed or until the user has deemed it so. Each blast from a Point Star of the Teneritas is about 30m in radius, and as a result can cause a lot of carnage in an area. The DST Ophelia, however, has limited maneuverability and lacks weapons for close combat. It is best employed from the back lines, and as an artillery-based supporter.

Dark Star "Teneritas" - Tactical Independent Acting Point Star Offensive Artillery Weapon
The Point Star is an individual unit of the entire Dark Star weapon system. The Point Star consists of a small rod shaped pod that is released from a fitting on the Ophelia's chest. Each Pod has its own AI system and acts independently from the Ophelia, firing at will based on commands input by the Ophelia's co-pilot and the AI can be modified at will. Each blast from a Point Star is about 30m in radius and is exceptionally large. The Teneritas can as a result cause massive amounts of collateral damage, as there are six Point Stars in the Teneritas system.

EFX-F SR Ophelia tagged Offensive
Equipped with Stealth Ravager System, outfitted for offense
The SR Ophelia here is tagged Offensive, using the Stealth Ravager system as a tactical offensive maneuver, fading in and out, causing damage within the enemy ranks. This variation of the Ophelia is Rem's particular favourite, as it is considered as the "vanilla Ophelia," the Ophelia at its core.

Lafian Ether Thrust SEULE Piledriver, or the LETS Piledriver
A special form of piledriver fitted on the Ophelia's right hand, it is lightweight and made of a special material, the SEULE, which information on cannot be released at this time. All that is known is that the LETS Piledriver is armor-piercing, and can permanently damage critical mech nodes required for a mech's operation. The LETS Piledriver is Rem's primary form of "assassinating" a mech.

Stealth Ravager - Phase Shifting Invisibility Field Mechanism
The Stealth Ravager is a specific form of phase shift armor designed not only to mitigate damage but also to completely cloak the Ophelia from sight. The Stealth Ravager works by converting atmospheric energy and pressure and releasing energy at the same time, causing a conflict and as a result an existential rift which shifts the Ophelia's presence and causes it to cloak and take less damage. The Stealth Ravager, however, eats up a lot of the Ophelia's energy and cannot be used for prolonged amounts of time before the Ophelia must re-energize itself.

Sanctuaries/Havens/Anomalies
The many sealed worlds sent out into outer space by their respective denizens in search of peace and tranquility. These are mythical paradises like Avalon, Shangrilla, Ryūgū-jō, El Dorado, Nirvanah, Shamballah, Olympus, Asgard, Vanaheim, Tir Na Nog, Atlantis, etc. Gensokyo, off course, is only one of many. The outsiders refer to these as 'Anomalies'.
And new miscellaneous bits and bobs to note:
A new homebase when we're out on missions, as dragging the entire colony ship around would be cumbersome at best, risky and dangerous at worst.
The Amaterasu, a Kawashiro Heavy Industries Surveyor Ship, modified into a Heavy cruiser capable of combat. It is the first combat-able capital-class ship designed in Gensokyo, designed in a rather ad-hoc manner after the Avalon Invasion.
The ship is somewhat smaller than most other military super capital ships of other factions, though still significantly larger than most cruiser-class ships. However, it boasts superior speed, maneuverability, as well as stealth and Kawashiro Heavy Industries' pride and joy, the Kappa Tech Optical Camouflage system. As such, it is the perfect platform to launch recon and hit-and-run missions.
It is outfitted with the following weaponry:

All mechas in this war are fitted with ejection pods and pilot retrieval is also quite efficient. Thus one can easily aim 'not to kill' if one wishes.

Weakness: Rather shortsighted without his glasses, and not exactly the paragon of physical ability either. Can't say no to a pretty face.

Visual Description: Tall (over 6') yet very thin and pale, brown-blond hair which reaches halfway down his back and curls up at the end, dark blue eyes. Wears a pair of glasses with small rectangular lenses. Most often wears jeans, a long sleeved black t-shirt and a sleeveless navy blue jacket which appears to be almost completely comprised of pockets.
Personality: Cheerful and polite to everyone he meets. Usually rather quiet, but once he gets started talking it's very difficult to get him to stop. Is very eccentric and has some incredibly strange ideas, which tends to put a lot of people off him and has garnered him a reputation as a nutcase. Pacifistic, and prefers not to fight unless in self defence or if something/one he cares about is being threatened and/or hurt. If such a thing happens, he will do whatever it takes to make the culprit suffer. Is a closet fan of old mecha anime, especially Gunbuster and Martian Successor Nadesico.
