I've said this before, but I think the most natural reaction is for them to think their father is nerdy and embarrassing.

Ha! Yeah, I'd say that's a pretty safe bet. All fathers are a source of embarrassment for their children once they reach a certain age. Though I'm sure they'll grow to appreciate just how awesome he is, with time.
