>Yes. They were all to the northern side of Gensokyo.  The Sanzu River marked the northern edge, in particular. Hakugyokurou was in the northeast corner; as much as there is a corner. You are not quite sure if Gensokyou continued on past it or not.

I was trying to think of something that is large-scale enough to be known across multiple lands but not large scale enough that it is considered an outright legend, but if they haven't heard of the SDM I don't know if there's quite anywhere that fits the bill as almost every single large-scale location is about the same level of importance as the SDM.

I thought of asking about the Forest of Magic too but the name is kind of... generic.
