The Play,Doujin! program (1, 2) and CubeType (1, 2) have announced the Asian regional release of their PlayStation 4 game, Gensou no Ronde. This is an English/Japanese bilingual version, rechristened "Touhou Genso Rondo". It is now available for download in the PlayStation Stores of Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Singapore. Aaaaahh this looks like such a great game, plus it has English as an option... double score! Too bad though that it's only available in eastern countries. Looks like us westerners have to go without again. :( Hopefully in the future they will at least consider expanding what regions it is available in. Somehow though I feel that I shouldn't hold my breath. |

Oh, this seems like great news! Hopefully it will be expanded to other regions, too, so I can finally play it. I wonder what this means for other games. I doubt that an huge game like Fushigi no Gensokyo will be translated in English, though. |

You know, I'm actually astonished NIS America got the greenlight to bring a Touhou fan game here. I mean I know they've had an interesting history, but I didn't expect them to dive into bringing a a fan game like this over here. Show how much of an impact Touhou has received here in the west since ZUN came here a few years ago. |
