She was using these artifacts called Occult Balls to cause an incident. Mamizou actually came up with a plan to trap her in Gensokyo so we could teach her a lesson, but I think it worked a little too well... You see, a few hours after she was brought inside, she used the Occult Balls to temporarily escape to the outside world. However, I had to follow her, not because she was evading her punishment, but because one of the Occult Balls she had was not like the others, and I was concerned about what would happen if she activated it... Anyway, when I finally found her, she was terrified, and apparently thought she was going to die. So what she did was activate the Occult Balls and attempted to commit suicide, hoping to destroy the barrier along with her, an act that would threaten Gensokyo's entire existence. She almost succeeded, but thankfully I was able to knock her out and take her into custody before the ritual was complete... Unfortunately, the energy was enough to activate the strange Occult Ball, which ended up causing another incident... But that's another story."
