I apologise if there's already a thread for this, but I looked around and couldn't find one.
So, Bullet Heaven 2 is the in-development sequel to the highly popular Flash Shmup named, suprisingly enough, Bullet Heaven, masterfully crafted by Kupo747.

The main trailer is here, and the steam greenlight page is here, and here is a video showing just how hard the game can get - the final boss, with a 30% speed increase on all patterns handicap on legendary. (Warning, spoilers for the last video on Kupo's previous 2 games - but only minor)

The game chronicles the adventures of Matt, Natalie, Lance, Anna, Nolegs and their buddies as they travel across the land, and, well, shoot stuff. The game doesn't have much of a plot, instead opting for character development. It plays like most shmups in many ways, you have bombs, you can graze things, etc.
On the otherhand, like the original Bullet Heaven, stages are played stand-alone - think of it as a giant stage practice game, except you don't start with a bajillion resources. You have charged shots and secondary shots which can be used to great effect, but these come at the expense you can't spam them. There are also powerups, which drop from enemies - which as in the first game, probably becomes less common as the game goes on (and probably as difficulty goes up, too). Moreover, up to 4 people can play at once, which is uncommon for shmups.

There are three difficulties: Normal (25% as given in game), Hard (50% as given in-game), and Heavenly (100% as given in-game)

You can use cheats, which penalize your score that can be unlocked (and some of them are truly game-breaking - the trailer has a list of most of them, including 'enemies drop bombs'), and you can likewise apply handicaps which can make the game much harder while also much more congifurable.

Oh, I might have to give this a poke if it hasn't been greenlit already.

I've my issues, but the EBF series as a whole has steadily evolved into something fairly fun mechanically, no reason not to have it lit.

I loved the original Bullet Heaven game, even though I never 100%d it (couldn't beat the last bonus boss). I'm totes giving this an upvote on GL!
