>You bat her sword away and keep moving, turning a bit toward the right. The latter saves you, her incoming attack was too fast to fully deflect and even with the turn you swear you can almost feel its edge pass by you.

>You continue moving, and she starts as well. You angle to the left and she mirrors it. Within an eyeblink, she has come much too close to be comfortable.

>You slice at her waist, as the two of you close on each other. She doesn't stop as your blade comes around. She turns her shoulder toward you, and your vision goes blurry as she slams it into your face! You stagger back, having a hard time seeing what is going on. It is a small miracle you don't fall over, but you manage to stay on your feet.

>You don't feel that it did; she beat you to the punch.
>You stumble back and take control of it your motion, stepping back by your own volition and putting a few yards between the two of you.  Your eyes clear, and you see that Meira has needed a moment to regather herself after ramming you as well as she has just finished resuming her stance, taking a one-handed grip and presenting a narrow profile again.

> Give another amused grunt and take up a defensive stance.

>Her primary asset is her speed, you think. If you allow her to take too much control, it will be hard to reclaim it.  At the same time, you cannot give her too much time to react. The fact she has taken as much damage as she has without flagging much is worrying...
>You take another defensive stand. Meira begins to make her way toward you, her poise confident.

>The most efficient way is to attack their hand until they can't hold it anymore, but hand strikes are the most difficult kind against a skilled opponent. The next best way is to fool them into getting it stuck into something. After that, catch their blade with yours and applying proper leverage.
>Meira approaches. Turned as she is, the left side of her body is safe, while the right side is a narrow target. It may be best to try to disrupt or invalidate the stance. That in mind, she would have the hardest time guarding her feet and lower legs, but the easiest time dodging there, while you would have some difficulty attack there safely.
