We rejoin our heroes cruising the world in order to save it. Which means we take a detour from the floating doom tower because Monty was feeling a touch homesick.

As it turns out, his papa is Cyan from FF6. Don't cross the streams! By the way, how does the bard that moves into the old house even know to come to Lyx? The place is only accessible via flight and there's no airport. I've got the only means of transportation to get to this place in the entire world and it's been rusting under the sea for a thousand years. How?!

Truly, Monty's old friend is the scholarly type.
Not pictured: The awkward what-did-you-do-with-your-life conversation. "OH you became a scholar? I was a chocobo-hobo, or chocohobo for short, who became destined to save the world, save ANOTHER world, and then save both of them COMBINED. How's that 100,000 gil piece of paper sound now, buddy?" How impolite!

Back in Plottown, we pull off landing this thing on a moving vessel with amateur pilots without issue.

I'm sure OSHA would like a word with the people who designed this place.

Letting these things hang around will not be good for the Joestar bloodline, so I put it to rest ASAP.

For as much as Lenna as a Mystic Knight has been great at boss-busting so far, Monty proves to be tops at simply tearing through random encounters. There may be little reason to change him around from the CHOP CHOP 2-handed setup he's got going right now.

!Control proves to be a constant boon in large groups featuring an enemy of sufficient power as it effectively removes them for long enough to thin the herd. When the hit rate jumps with the right gear, watch out.

The only time that the Lamia's Entice was successful, it hit Galuf with the healstick.

The results go about as well as one could imagine.

YEEEEESS gimme all the powerful equips. Also I've learned to save weapons and items that have special effects to them because they CAN be useful down the road.

I'm pretty much safe in the bank department anyhow and there's always grinding for more cash.

This tent is smaller than I am. How do these things work?!

WHOOPS I let this fan... thing go by accident. Oh well. It is a bit of a eureka moment in that if I have the opportunity to capture a monster, I should probably do so. Many have unique attacks/spells/whatnot that are not part of their regular attack lineup and are pretty potent. One way or another, it's best to jump on the opportunity to snatch a baddie up.

Okay fine Dad I'll do my chores...

Archaeoavis always baffled me a bit. It's weakness and ability change with no readily apparent indication and its defense dips and soars at random points.

It dies and comes back as a sort-of-not-quite-undead version of itself and frankly this fight is always a big mess unless you've got a specific lineup that can quickly react to to its attacks and thus indicated weakness. I don't even get any good pics of the fight. :V

I fully understand little white numbers jumping out of bad guys does them in, however. It goes down after a slog of a fight.

I don't even get an allowance?! This is why you lost custody.

Krile makes a grand entrance!

It's so grand that it removes all doubt from Galuf's mind!

But OMINOUS THINGS HAPPEN!

Aaaand lets top off our destructive spree with destroying the greatest technological accomplishment in a thousand years. Whoops!

"I was a high altitude tightrope walker..."

IT LOOKS LIKE TEAM COMET IS BLASTING OFF AGAAAAaaaaaaaain *ting*

Well, there's some mopping up to do before heading to world 2 but for now that's it. Still, with the earth crystal jobs in hand, the tension is KILLING me! THAT DOES IT I gotta know who's the anchor for this race! No use waiting for world 2 to let this kick in I might not have another chance to play this until next Monday. Now let's take a look at the resu-
