Does anyone know if using Folklore will work before Medjedra's leader switch wears off? You can probably YOLO with Folklore+Ronia+Beelzebub+Lu Bu (in that order) before Medjed puts the combo shield up? Also that lol 20% of skill bind resist.

If you have a non-red row healer, even if it's not a devil, you could take out Hades and further reduce the chances of chipping Isis down. The sooner you can get Ronia's RCV multiplier back up, the better, right?

Ronia/Persephone/Lu Bu/Byakko/(healer)/Beelzebub is the best I got.

Did it! Legend is pretty stupid easy with Roniabub if you just stall on Isis if your only green user is Awoken Hades, and I took advantage of Osiris' row/column changes to get rid of fire and dark orbs so I didn't kill him too soon. :v

No drop though.

I think I might be able to do Mythical now that I look at it. Isis may be rough because she sometimes rips you off on hearts though...

So something that was brought up on PF in their "hey here's the stream" thread: This is the official site for EU. Notice that it specifically has a .jp domain.

The comment brought up in said thread was that "there actually aren't any Gungho EU offices". There does seem to be a Gravity office in France but none for "Gungho Online Entertainment"; there's not one for KR either. This makes me wonder if the huge gap is more on JP's side than the other regions', though admittedly there's not really a way to know for sure unless something gets said outright.

I suppose you can be a lot more adamant about healing through combos+hearts, and you have a huge max HP buffer to compensate for when you're cheaped out on hearts?

What is this feeling I have. This addictive feeling of "1 more puzzle" and wasting the hours away with little care. Could it be that I'm actually having fun playing a video game?!

I'm happy and yet distraught. I'm happy because I've finally flipped the switch and can now proc Horus at a pretty reliable rate. The bad news is that it takes me so long to plan out the "routes" that the dungeon is taking me about half-an-hour per run. Seriously I beat the dragons and I return to the title screen with a full stamina bar. Worst part is I'm only rank 20 (very casual) so I have like 130+ ranks of this grind to go too. :persona:


Also a question: what's the best way to build a team early on? Is it through the REM, the PAL machine, the tougher dungeons, or what? I'm especially curious because I can easily see how I will one day have teams that are way below my cost cap if I keep grinding these same dragons over and over.

Horus is a type of god that can utilize subs from whatever source, really. Heavy hitters like Beelzebub and Athena are obtainable without using the REM, clerics like Alraune and Archangel can be obtained from the Normal Dungeon progression.
With the exception of Beelz, Athena, and possibly dark Fagan (all three of which are pretty mid-late game) the most optimal things will usually only be obtainable from the REM. Metatron, Kali, Odin, time extenders like Yomi or even Chrono Turtle. As long as you find yourself a super burst option (Neptune or Green Zhuge Liang, for example) and have each color ready, Horus just punches holes in everything. Because he doesn't really want to use orb changers, he has room for every other type of sub!

Right now, I think it would be ideal to race for rank 80 as soon as you can, where you can buy access to useful "survey dungeons" and high experience dungeons using coins. Having Hera from the Normal dungeons used to be a common first goal for Horus, but there are so many dark options ready now so

Save up stones. If you're really fond of Horus, you can drop them on Japanese godfests for Kushi or Yomi; Indian for Indra; Greco-Roman for Neptune. Kali, Zhuge Liang, Metatron, and Odin can usually be obtained on any godfest.
Three Kingdoms, Heroes, Greek v2, China girls are not usually helpful for Horus specifically, but are great for other purposes. Archdevils and Archangels, with the exception of commandercool and Gabriel, are kind of unexplored territory and not helpful for Horus. Prioritize as you like.

Leader swap skills do work on Medjed. I was able to swap into Beyzul on Legend. So anyone should be able to fuck him up with Folklore after gravity provided you're not skill locked. Pretty sure I can take him on Mythical, I just need to get lucky with my first (40%) lock resist or survive until Osiris with no skills so I can stall it out.

Ran a Horus-esque comp of Isis, Echidna, Kushi, Chester, and Okuni

100% skill lock resist takes care of the first few floors

Isis vs Isis is not a bad matchup. If I used Horus then it would have been a lot worse because I can't activate without luck and I'd have lower RCV. With Isis though I basically get free 3.5x boards with hearts so it's all good :V

Osiris and Mejded are dangerous because of their low HP OHKOs, but most of my team is resisted which actually helps with not accidentally bursting too hard. Also neither have status shields so all the delays I brought came in handy. Brought Osiris to 40%ish HP then used Echidna to finish him off. Then stalled/comboed during Medjed with the helps of Okuni delay and Kushi to block one Medje the end before Echidna came up to finish him off. I did get a bit lucky though since he swapped Isis with Okuni and then later with Kushi, both of whom are good leaders anyways.

Whee, started taking on Alt. Clayus Prison.  So far nothing bad happening.  I keep realizing how much I really need Indra skilled up some though for this; that guard skill has saved my hide I don't know how many times already.  (Also being able to eat a hit from Tiamat even without it gives me a lot of leeway with my almost 40,000 HP thanks to Valk being God now.  Once I level everyone to max it'll just get better.)
