Calling it black is confusing enough when B is already standard for blue here, but where on earth does U come from?

U is the first letter if blue that it doesn't also share with black. Blue and black are both B, so one of them has to go by another letter. It can't be L because they both share it, sonit has to be A or U. Blue shares a sound with U, so that's the most obvious.

That only really matters in Magic where they're called by colors instead of elements, but I am going to do that.

But those make absolutely no sense outside of MtG. Especially when there's already a commonly understood abbreviation system for PAD that it conflicts with.

Meanwhile, still farming for + eggs. I don't know why people say floor 4 of forbidden tower is best, it's 12 stamina for 4 floors of potential drops while the top floor gives you 8 for 15. I managed to get 5 eggs in 3 rounds (the rough equivalent of one round of mechdragons).

I finally got a skillup up Beyzul that didn't take piis. He's level five now. Approaching the point where I can actually plausibly swap back and forth during one dungeon, which substantially increases my ability to handle certain dungeons. Hopefully I can get one more before this skillup event ends just in case we don't see it again for a while.

I personally prefer BMeta.  I don't know why, but I can't stand using Wetatron myself.  Sort of like how I don't call the fire Sonia Ronia, but keep her S making her RSonia.

As long as it's easily identifiable by anyone I don't think it matters.

Well, I have to be happy about them as well since I managed to score a blue ancient mask from the special PEM and it skilled Orochi in one go, so now he's only got three more to be maxed.  Getting there...

Meanwhile, I took on Ultimate God Rush.

That was fun. Despite no-stoning, I only got 22,000 points so I'll have to go at it again eventually.

I got Athena, Beelzebub, and Super Zeus to drop, which is awesome because I've been too lazy to level up regular Zeus to evolve him.

Thanks!  The scariest part was fighting Beelzebub and his monster tank HP, but my 40% poison resist proc'd four times at least.

Humorously, his 40%< GTFO attack was completely blocked as well, so I didn't immediately have to pop Byakko+CDD. Also, the chance of an EXTREEEEEME metal king would have completely wrecked me.

Not sure if I can do the other Rushes without switching to BeelzeSonia but who the hell wants to do that

So far I've got another day of 0/11 skillups on 2.5x chances. I have gotten a single skillup on anything out of this entire event so far, after doing literally nothing but grinding for skillups for the entire duration as well as the several days before. My rates so far have been much worse than if I had been fusing during 0x skillups.

Edit: Well, I guess I did do challenges one through six, so not 100% of my stamina has gone to farming. But the stamina I spend on challenge dungeons got me exactly as many skillups as my many days of farming, so I guess that's a pretty clear sign that this is a waste of my time.

It's true that even with skillup boosts, the way this game handles skillups is horseshit.

The way I see it is this:

Even if the skillup rate was as high as 10% without boost (I have no damn idea what it's supposed to be and I'm being generously high with estimated success rates), it's still terrible. Even if the skillup rate is, logically, 25% on a 2.5x boost, it's still a 1/4 chance, and with the time and effort it takes to get skillup mats in the first place, as well as the fact that some mats need to be evolved first beforehand, it's still shit.

So really I feel it's completely random and the multiplier is an illusion, really.

Let me remind you that I went 0/20 on one Ronia skillup on x2 rates and today I went 2/2 on Orochi skillups.

This is why I've grown enamored with hunting +eggs instead recently, because there is a definite, tangible, visible boost when I fuse them, and it's a 100% chance of benefit when I do so. It just feels more rewarding than endlessly pursuing skillups only to be disappointed. It's also the reason why I've taken Parvati from 0 to +130 in the span of about two weeks. :V

As far as skillups go, you may as well just farm for pys instead, you'll probably end up with relatively similar rates anyway. At least they're universal for their respective attributes and able to be collected at any time, not during any short event. :colbert:

I'm really glad that my current primary team is all skill maxed already. Moreover, I'm glad that Ceres and Beelzebub -don't- have farmable skillup fodder, and that I can have no worries about having dumped my pys on them.

Persephone is obviously going to have to be skilled up just once more when 8 minimum CD hits, but we have both Gleaming Dragon and Super Metal Kings to do so. That's incredibly easy so who gives a digit?

Just gotta find three more + attack eggs...

At some point they've got to overhaul skillup mechanics, right? They've already kind of done it with the 2.5x rates and piis, so I'm hoping eventually they just swap it over to a skill experience system. It takes 100 points to rank up a skill, and monsters are worth different amount of skill experience depending on how hard to get they are. Not making it RNG based theoretically makes people whale less I guess, but I think piis already tanked that if it was ever even a thing.

Being completely honest that's probably wishful thinking, at best, I'm pretty sure there's a lot of whales out there that spend a lot of money to get these skillup mats and Gungho just swims in money because of them.

Unless people start revolting against the system en masse (which I doubt people will do especially with Piis being a thing now) GungHo is probably going to keep the current system.
