>No. She matters, too, and the well-being of the members of your shrine. And, no offense, but you sound exhausted - have you even had chance to sleep since last night?

>That doesn't matter either. Kiku replies shortly. I don't need sleep as much as a human does.
>But you can be worn out by things like they can. Rin cuts in. We saw the news. 'tween that, and Satori, and the fight-
>It still doesn't matter. Kiku interrupts her. Knowing her as you do, you'd think she was pleading. If a Champion is moving, we must react.

>You can feel Kiku's frustration from here. She sighs again, and utters a quiet Damn. More, you think, at herself than you or Rin. You are sure?

>.... Very well. But do not underestimate Air. It isn't the same kind of demon that Water was. Water sought to enslave souls. I don't think Air is so willing to leave us Earthlings alive.

>No. When we met it at the police station last night, it was very blunt with its desire to inflict torment even where this did not further its primary goals. I have no intention of letting my guard down against it.

>Kiku makes a sound like she wants to say more, but pauses. It is several seconds before she speaks again, her voice a mixture of sad and tender. Be safe.

>Heads up. Rin says quickly, grabbing your sleeve as you approach a street corner. She obviously was stopping you due to the BMW coming your way. It wasn't close enough to be any real hard to you, but as your attention was diverted by two seperate conversations, and developing a new use for your powers, she probably didn't want to take any chances.
>Okay, B, fire away. Lily's voice comes to you after the beamer trundles past.

>Let's stop somewhere that's not in the middle of public view, if we can (though don't take time to go out of our way - we're already on the news, but better not to attract more onlookers than necessary)
>Then let's try summoning our friend and compatriot

>Of course.
>You and White Rose have been doing your best to avoid the main streets, sticking to back roads and parking lots and the lot, even briskly across a back yard once. For a spot to stop and pull this trick out of a hat, you glance around and select a rather dim looking alley between a couple of tall buildings. One devoid of either Eagle or Bear, you make double sure of this time, though there are a couple of pervading odors you'd prefer not to spend too much time around. With that in mind, you get down to work.
>You focus your will upon the link binding your ring to Lily, forged not just from the power you both share, but the emotional connection you have forged with the lovely little blonde. If it can be an emotional conduit, as you know it is and can be, then it can be more. As you reach out to her, you sense her mind reaching out to yours as well, meeting in the middle. You hear Lily's voice in your mind, Hehe, that kinda tickles!

>Smile
>We do endeavor to make this a pleasant trip.
>Let's reel her in!

>Gripping her 'hand', as it were, you and Rin, for you feel her power now joined with yours, pull on that feel. The sensation is not entirely dissimilar to how you react when using your Sapphire Lotus. Power leaves your body as you reel the girl in like a lithe fish. Albeit one with a bit of weight to it. Even though the act isn't as taxing as it would be to bodily haul a female across any distance, it's still not something you'd want to do eight hours a day.
>Having said that, Lily actually acheives a fair amount of speed as she travels down the pink and purple extradimensional conduit created by your power, its hazy apeture forming in the air in front of you. More speed that you were expecting. You knew that it would be easier to summon her than it would be to summon Kiku, but she progresses more easily, and more rapidly, than you had anticipated. So much so that she doesn't walk out of the tunnel, she flies out at great speed, crashing into you with a short yelp and bowling you over. The two of you land in a tanlged heap, the little blonde ending up on top of you, her lips pressed against yours.

>Lily giggles again at the sound of your embarassment.
>From the heat in your cheeks, odds are.
>Rin seems unfazed by the sight, and in fact helps the both of you back to your feet, with a comment of, "That actually worked."
>Lily nods energetically. "Heck of a ride, too!"

>Get a move on to intercept Air!

>More than a little anxious to get out of this smelly alley, you and Rin head back out onto the street. Lily, however, takes to the air, as is her wont, seemingly heedless of the fact that she is in her magical guise. That may be for the best, though, as time is of the essence. And maybe it's just the influence of that accidental kiss, but you're not going to complain about the view she gives you from up there.
>Stay on target, Byakuren.

>The concrete world of buildings around you affords you any number of opportunities to avoid the major thoroughfares on the way to your destination, and while a city this big and this populous means that it is impossible for you to remain completely unseen, you manage to keep enough cover around you that you are not seen for more than a fleeting moment. Perhaps enough for an especially sharp eyed passerby to recognize you from the news, but not enough for them to raise an outcry about it. At least, none that catches your ears. Still you resolve when this is over to mull over the prospect of devising a cloaking spell of some kind.
>With precious little time to spare, you make it to the north face of the parking garage, a six story tall slate grey ediface. You can sense Air's approach from the sky, so if you want to grab its attention, you'll need to get to the roof. You can make your way up through the building, which will take longer and will keep you out of the public eye, or you and Rin can fly up the side of the garage, which will be much faster but also much more obvious.

>Fly up; we can't afford to let Air slip by while we're inside, and any battle up there is going to draw attention once it starts, regardless

>Nearly in unison, you conjure up a blue platform of light to carry you up onto the roof, while White Rose creates one of her stepping wheels to do the same. Lily, you note, has already flown over the roof, and has likely made her landing by now. You join her in short order.
>The roof of the parking garage is a fairly spacious spread of asphault, split into two levels. The top half is only occupied by three vehicles, including one enormous Humvee. The lower part contains cheaper looking cars and bikes, and is about 65% full. There are two ramps leading up to the roof, the ramp leading to the lower half to the east, the ramp leading to the upper level on your northwest.
>You can see the bat-shaped demon cutting a terrific pace through the air with your naked eye now. It is approaching from the southwest for all the world to see.

>Still riding your Sapphire disc, you flit over to the steel railing surrounding the roof, and make your attempt to flag down the Air demon. Part of you doesn't expect it to stop, though. It's following the trail leading it to Sanae like an arrow, and its bearing gives you the impression that it doesn't want to stop for much of anything. Nervously you grip your scepter. You may need to resort to drastic measures just to get its attention.
>But that seems not to be necessary. The bat-form demon slows when it sees you, coming to a complete halt ten feet away from you.
