Low Graze Runs

Hey all!  Not sure if this is considered "high scoring", but this is the best place I could think to put it. :V
Thanks to the Touhou Bingo thread, as well as ARF's run on YouTube of TD with solely 9 graze, I figured it'd be a pretty cool and fun challenge to try.

The aim is simple: Lowest graze number possible.

It's definitely necessary to have all game records listed, but as for different difficulty levels, I'm not quite so sure.  Feedback would be awesome.
A replay and/or video of the run would be necessary for a high score as per usual.
Games not included (due to a lack of graze count atm) are PoFV, GFW, and ISC; otherwise any other danmaku game in the series goes!) :D
-If you do find a graze mod, please let me know.  It would be helpful :)

Just a friendly reminder...full 1ccs only.  If you continue or game over anywhere in the replay or video,  it will be disqualified.

There's also a graze counter mod for ISC out there somewhere, but I don't know where.

I did this before, as part of the atypical challenges I used to run. SA, PCB, and UFO were included, but the last few rounds weren't getting enough participants, so I haven't been making challenges in a while. I was planning to include all the games with a non-resetting graze counter eventually, every 10 challenges.

For difficulties, I think only the main game and Extra are relevant.

Also, you forgot LLS and MS. Those two, as well as EoSD and MoF (with patch), would be more annoying to track though, since the graze counter resets each stage.

I didn't know you did this before.  Messed up, didn't look everywhere.
Thanks for the feedback though.
Also, I'll include LLS and MS, and I'll track the ones that reset the counter each stage myself (I look at the end of each stage.)
I dun goofed a little on this one.
I don't know whether this thread will be closed or not, but I'll just keep going until it is.

Since this isn't really a scoreboard, it's been decided to move it to the main HME.

Anyway, if you are planning on tracking these, you should copy the best runs from the three low-graze challenges I ran. I'm surprised you didn't do that already.

Also, it'd be a good idea to include the shot type somewhere in the listings, and also mention somewhere that they have to be full-game clears (otherwise someone could just game over immediately or do a stage practice run and call it a low-graze run).

This stuff is fun, thanks for starting a thread on this! Here's the thread with the MoF graze patch :3

I guess there might be some runs up on the royalflare scoreboard, or maybe at their replay uploader http://replay.royalflare.net/. I remember seeing a 0 graze IN run (with 7 starting lives) so it is a type of run that has been around for a while over there.

Oh right, there's the question of extra starting lives for Touhou 4-8. I'd say include any of those that exist, but with a note, and maybe unranked (as in the best run with default lives would be labeled #1).

The IN no-graze run is here, by the way, though it seems that was a reupload by someone else.

As for replay.royalflare.net, it does have the issue of being a temporary uploader where runs are deleted after a certain amount of time, as far as I know...

It could work, and I guess I could fit it in this thread.  Isn't really low graze, but it is a curious topic. (In theory, I don't believe you need ANY ice in GFW, but the difficulty makes up for it...in any case, would be interesting to watch and to try.  Unless something comes up, of course.

I like Royalflare, but should someone want a more permanent method of storage, I have a MEGA account and a Dropbox, so I could store plenty of replays should the need arise.  I recommend a Google Drive or Dropbox as a personal storage for replays, but should neither of the other methods work, I can store them for you.   However, I do recommend getting a personal storage, I want to store files too, heh heh.

Something like that was done here before as well, except on Normal+, since there are some Easy clears with zero ice out there.

I filled most of it in, I just need the links to the replays...
(unless there was a couple that I didn't know about)
I came literally now to put in Extra runs in all game categories.

In score runs, I stick with default runs.  For a challenge like this, however, since hitting bullets is not necessarily likely, I might be okay with starting lives. (Unless it totally breaks a run, in which case I will add a footnote.)

Didn't search through that thread enough, so I didn't see those.  I'll gladly put up the IN run, but I honestly have no time to look through the whole thread.  (I'll be on the road all day tomorrow, and I'll be visiting family for the next week.)
