Trailer

My friend hit me up with this game the other day and its pretty fun. Terra Battle is a grid/tile based game that's all about positioning. The only way to attack monsters is by surrounding them, having two units on both sides horizontally or vertically. The kicker is that units along the same column or row of the flanking units contribute to the attack and proc skills. You got your standard rock paper scissors with swords, bows, and spears, then you have mages that are weaker physically but heal, toss elemental spells, hit with status effects, and give unit buffs. See this and this for all the smaller details.

Like other games you can reroll, SS are obviously the best and grabbing an SS mage early on is super great.

Co-op and VS battle modes are being developed, the game has pretty big names like Nobuo Uematsu onboard. THE ART IS SO SEXY.

First for Rikken best girl.

Here is a reroll tier purely for the SS characters,  with my own personal bias.
S Rank:
Any of the mages (Jennish, Piz'fer, Zerro, Lewto)
Provide excellent AoE including a 3x3 center on the pincer area,  a 3 column and a 3 row. They also offer resist capsules of their opposing element.
However enemies later in the game begin to resist then absorb certain elements, so they're usefulness declines in certain levels. They also have bad physical attack (duh)  and the skills are not 100% activation until you build up skill boost. They make early game a breeze, and remain relevant in all non absorb chapters later.
Yukken
Is a cute waifu. Also has access to all three weapon types in the circle of carnage,  which is a big deal in the game as it provides a 2x(?) boost to damage, or at least a very noticeable boost. Also has a variety of other useful abilities like control time +2 (extend time) and negotiator pro which boosts the drop rate of monsters. Her stats however are sub par and are easily outclassed by other SS, but if you're non-IAP being able to fit her on every team makes her exceptional.

A Rank:
Samatha
Another waifu.  One of the highest DPT as a lightning/physical hybrid. However you essentially have to treat her as lightning based only since she has sub par damage going physical alone. Tempest Strike is however the strongest lightning skill in the game. Also gets negotiator (not pro).
Czekras/Koko
Similar to Samatha but have different skills,  notably Czekras gets a delay,  though it is far from reliable. Similarly suffer from hybrid syndrome since they have no non elemental attack skills, but are top DPT nevertheless.

B Rank:

Olber
A defensive monster with great utility and passable physical DPT as well. His capsules for physical resist make your team exceptionally bulky and he also provides off heals after you get his second job. His unique skill also provides the paladin-esque ability to take hits from allies, though this interestingly does not work in conjunction with his ability to dodge physical hits (activates only when directly attacked). However you are better off rolling a DPT unit for the sake of progressing faster and amassing energy for rolls, like you wouldn't keep a defensive sub reroll in PAD.
Suoh
Another omni with much better stats than Yukken. However damage is his only real selling point, with his utility being pretty situational, such as increasing the damage of adjacent allies. He is also down here because currently he is able to rolled from coin pact.
Animari
A healer, whose value will dramatically increase once Kuscah is no longer given out. She is able to revive one part member with half HP, but most notably she is a sword use in her second job, and provides decent DPT with her attack skill. Also provides control time +2.
Sheena
Mixed bag offering good ailment cures (a cure all in fact) and nice damage. Also gets control time. Can be rolled from coin part at the moment.
Rikken
Yukken's twin sister.  Is only a bow user throughout her jobs but offers a Heal All which is pretty useful if you choose to run only one healer, a control time and Negotiator pro. She might be an A rank simply due to her middling DPT capabilities but lacks the versatility of Yukken who offers the same utility. Has better stats than her sister, but I wouldn't put that on her resume.

C Rank:
Gaiga
The last elemental damage unit. She is lower than the other as she is much more gimmicky with her death spells and a consistent damage source is much preferred. Does less damage than the others too.
Gugba
Oh look at that attack stat. And Tremor. A physical screen AoE off 344 Attack.  Nothing lives,  and makes daily farming super mindless.  However Tremor is level 65 Job 3 and has 10% base chance so he requires heavy investment.  Not recommended since something much more useful early game could be rolled and there is no guarantee you will roll another SS.
Amina
Everyone's favourite character for some reason.  Hasn't the largest heals in the game but there aren't overheals so it doesn't matter.  Her revive is a whole party revive which isn't that useful since you will probably all for the turn after anyway. Has control time.
A'misandra
Has a two person revive for a quarter or their max HP.  Her special skills include ward death and the ability to nullify healing. This isn't really useful since it sacrifices control time, but she may be useful once versus comes out.
Camellia
In my opinion the worst roll for non-IAP. A very high potential due to her self defence/attack buff Femme Fatale which starts per male team member. Thus her team mates must be all dudes in order to benefit which is highly restrictive if you don't have cash sitting beside you to feed this lady. She's also an omni user but has no utility.

There are some noteworthy S characters, such as S'naip who does more damage than a majority of SS but is made of glass, however getting a high tier SS is usually worth it.

I was playing this for a bit a month ago, but I had no idea what I was doing. I guess I'll get back into this.

Came back to enough energy for five rolls, got myself two SS's - Piz'fer and Samantha.

I really like the fact that every character actually has a background, even if it's just flavor text.

I have Jennish and Olber myself, its pretty nice that the game gives energy with consecutive logins every five or eight days and dupe rolls give skill ups.

Character giveaway happening right now because wynaut.jpg

OK so I started on this a few days ago, I'm still new to cell phone games but this seems really well polished and not pay2win.  I gots me a Jennish to start (I believe in old man wizards more than rookie kids) and I keep rolling either dupes or other lightning mages I'm starting to think other elements don't exist  :ohdear:  but at least I get a lot of chances to get other dudes so eventually my luck will turn (hah)

Does anyone else have trouble with the controls?  Coming from PAD I'm used to manipulating and bumping around the field, but it feels like randomly my units wind up in the wrong spot or an extra space or who the heck knows what and ugh.  Not all the time but enough that it's annoying.  Hopefully they work on that.

this is one hundred percent a thing, i forget the SA chat but

basically it only registers from box to box so not going in straight lines causes it to flip out
