oh shit chaore's at it again.



Recently released in the Americas (And more?) has been MONSTER STRIKE, PAD's pog competitor.

Gameplay is pretty simple and fun- collect monsters (almost completely like PAD), flick them at enemies, destroy worlds, dodge danmaku spam for the enemies- laugh as you fire your excalibur in their face. Collection and monster growth is extremely similar to PAD- Except without skill ups, fancy that- and MULTIPLAYER, available through 'LINE'.

It's available on IOS and android so far.

Click this on your phone for a free +1 roll from an invite (Will swap this to someone else's code once some people start sticking) DO THIS BEFORE EVERYTHING ELSE IF YOU WANT TO USE IT, IT DOWNLOADS A CLIENT VERSION.

That code only works ONCE, but it's a great boon and it adds an extra try on your first reroll. It works once per device, so theres that. THIS IS DONE BEFORE TUTORIAL, CLICK AND DOWNLOAD FROM THERE TO USE IT.

Currently theres a Launch Event that gives +2 orbs per day, and makes every pull on the rem a gold egg, so it's literally the best time to start, thus why I'm quick hashing this for anyone interested.

What about rerolling if I want to?

Short text: At the moment, Arthur and Zeus are the top cards that remain great till JP- but other good keepable 5*s include:

Hunter King, Striker, Agnamute X, Corsair, Harley X, Agnamute (NOT the X, but still keepable), and Odin. These will remain 'keepables.

Other card considered under those but still pretty good include:

Nobunaga, Nobunaga X, Wildcat, Apollo X, Lancelot X, Nanami, Eclipse, Jupiter, and Merlin.

If you don't feel like rerolling basically any 5* with a laser is great, and any other 5* if you're just done with the slog. Rerolling is quick as you can skip the fusion (for benefit) and just quit the first dungeon it tells you to do.

Just tedious.

The only thing I have against this game is that the damage numbers are unnecessarily high.

Huh, so I apparently capped Hina, the boss of the 'Some Like it Hot' special dungeon.  Wonder if she's any good once leveled?  Didn't check what her skill was or her Bump thingie, but still.  Getting an event boss from the first stage of one of those is bound to be rare I'd figure, so yay!  I forgot to grab my ID before posting here and have to go to sleep, but I've got Eclipse waiting for anyone who wants his help.  Chirei or Lem or Chaore can pass my ID along or I can later on if I remember.

I finally got enough fire stoan to evolve Amaterasu, and the 1.5mil exp fodder I got from maxing affinity with someone hit a mega fusion and gave her 3mil exp. Her active skill does massive healing now.

Yay, I no longer feel utterly useless.

Also, some information that might help people out who are just starting.  It's pretty obvious once you've dealt with it, but why not be better prepared going in?

Some enemies have special abilities.  They include:

Shields:  They'll have shields around them, protecting their weakpoint possibly.  Keep hitting the shields and they'll break.  Some characters have passives that let them shatter shields instantly.

Gravity Barrier:  This annoying-as-heck ability projects a shadowy circle around an enemy.  If your unit enters this circle, they'll lose a TON of speed as long as they remain.  Some units ignore these and move normally.

Damage Wall:  Some enemies will fire lasers along a wall, which will then be covered in colorful flames.  Touch these walls when they're lit up and you'll get hurt.  Bounce into em a bunch of times and it will REALLY suck, so be careful!  As usual, some units are unaffected by Damage Walls.

Damage Walls are annoying, yeah...Having a team of Wall-immune monsters really helps. Gravity Wells can be bypassed somewhat with enough speed, and Shields can be ignored by Pierce-type monsters/skills.

Also, try to stay away from the edges of the screen if you can, it gets harder to pull back and aim towards the center the closer you are to the wall. Nothing's stopping you from making a shot that's near-parallel to the walls, but I like being able to aim directly at the monsters I want/need to hit. :V

Other tips:
-In a tight space? Take advantage of it and bounce your marble off the wall or the enemy monster, repeated ricochets will rack up massive damage.
-Get a Pierce-type monster ASAP, it makes it way easier to target weak points on bosses, or target a specific monster.
-This is just me, but stacking your team with spread shot and X-laser bump combos will cover the field and help you kill enemies faster.
-Don't worry about stalling for skills, but save them for when you fight a major boss in a dungeon, so you can kill them faster and get the speed clear bonus.
-Fuse Mormites/Morlyfes/etc to each other before throwing them on your units, you'll save a bit of money that way in the long run.

Granted, this isn't actually something useful to know most of the time, but there's these times where the enemy with the gravity well is close enough to a well that the Well actually "enters" the wall, so if you get your monster between the monster and said wall, you can just bounce off it with no penalties.

You're correct. Only when you touch the borders is the speed loss applied. It's interesting that you bring up the second scenario though - as the Monday (Hard) Sharls boss currently fits that bill. He has a gravity well on his second lifebar, and if you trap someone at the bottom of the screen, they can bounce away his entire lifebar unhindered since he's really huge. I recommend camping it really hard today to get Divine Sharls.

Context: this game has given me nothing but shit pulls and constant duplicates. According to advice among other players I was told to save up for a 10-roll to get a 5-star.

The results: I get a whole fucking bunch of 4* duplicates (that makes three Dear Lotta and SIX Matilda) and a 5* that is complete shit compared to what everyone else has.

I don't think I can ever complain about PAD's REM ever again. It's fantastic compared to this.

Like striker is basically light susano except he can't syncstrike with zeus (who is rampant)

edit: also yeah that guy actually looks rather good- that active is a delay which could be handy, and pierce is good as it is.

The delay seems good on paper but in practice it takes an eternity to charge :v

And yes Zeus (aka "this guy is forcing us to stall forever so he can use his potentially good skill please wake me when you're done") is rampant and honestly I don't see his appeal-- at least in unevolved form. He seems to slow down very quickly.

Yeah I'm really just pulling for the same reason. idk how far in the game I can actually go before Val drops off in usefulness, but seeing as all the arthur/harley/odin masterraces on reddit are still adding me, people must not care as hard in this game or something. Hopefully nobutt will be evolved by the time I get to that kind of ridiculousness though.
