[Day: 4] [Time: A few hours past midnight] [Weather: Mostly clear]
>"Outside World food is usually saltier, but it's a nice change. Thank you for the food." Finish eating, and press on about the issue. "A green streak of light, followed by screaming? Where in the forest did this take place?"
[4](+1) BONUS: Your next roll gets 1 added to it.
"Outside [...] food."
"Glad you liked it."
"A [...] place?"
"I don't know the exact location. All I know is that it had something to do with that one family... what were they called..."
"That Outside-World family? I saw somethin' like that in the village newspaper last time I went there. Said somethin' about Reimu and Yukari trying to kill 'em. Although I didn't give that too much attention..."
"Oh, that's right. The husband was brutally killed, and in broad daylight, too."
Marisa seems to frown.
"Well, those fairies were the only ones who saw the killing, so I guess you might as well say it was during the darkest hour of the night!"
Alice notices that you're still here.
"You can stay here for the night if you wish. Marisa, you can stay if you want, too."
You notice that several dolls are starting to clean up the table and wash the dishes. Alice must be very proficient in magic if she was the one who made them sentinent...
"Don't worry about them. They're just here to tidy the place up. You're welcome to watch them go about their business, though."
> "The Bamboo Forest, huh...? Now may not be the best time to make toward that forest, but I'll make sure to take off toward it when dawn comes around." Direct yourself to the purple-haired woman. "If you don't mind my presence much, I'd like to rest for the remainder of the night here."
> to <Akina> "Your daughter's fine, don't worry. I'm sure there's more than enough people at her side right now. I'll make sure the message gets around to her."
> In regards to that message, take LaserTurtle around a nearby corner, and make sure the two of you are isolated.
> "I'll be able to get in and out of that forest just fine on my own, so leave getting Eirin to me. Deliver the message to Haruko and the others that she's doing fine. With any luck, I'd bet they're near the schoolhouse; Keine seems like she's on our side on these matters." Authoritative finger-pointing. "And DON'T bring up that I was here. Just say you found Akina at the temple on your own."
[3] "If [...] here."
"Sure, you can stay here for the night if you wish. After all, this temple is a sanctuary for humans and youkai alike."
"Your [...] her."
"Thank you... Thank you so much. I can't tell you how grateful I am. My family's been torn apart, and it's people like you that keep me from losing all hope."
Akina looks like she's about to cry, but she ends up holding it in. You find it hard to rest, especially due to the hard wood floor.
Oh well, close enough!
>Thrusters go go go. Time to dash back to the village. There's PEACE TO PROTECT
[5] BONUS: Your next roll gets 1 added to it.
You rocket towards the sky and hover above the crowd gathered in the center of the village. Green dots appear on everyone in the crowd. Even from that height, your sensors easily read the existential signatures of Sanae, Kanako, Suwako and Cheez8, projecting a blue outline around them.
Population: 374 (370 friendly, 4 allies)Threat level: Minimal(read Cheez8's scenario for what happens next)
>...
>Get up and have a bit to eat. Maybe the yatagarasu needs some fuel to begin ignition, like real nuclear fusion.
>"Well...it's sort of my fault. She has a tendency to...become upset when thinking of her past. I can easily foresee a very long, emotional moment when they reunite. I seem to forget about that..."
>Keep trying to jumpstart the Yatagarasu powers. Hopefully it doesn't go cold...cold fusion was disproven...unless it somehow evolves into ice manipulation...as long as I still have wings and can fly. And not be dead.
>"Thank you for the food, Akyuu."
[3] "Well [...] that..."
Akyuu brings you closer to her and whispers quietly:
"What did you expect? I'm surprised she hasn't committed suicide yet... Keep her motivated. Something tells me she and her mother will be reunited very soon."
The food tastes good, but it doesn't seem to have any effect on reviving the Yatagarasu. You sigh to yourself before thanking Akyuu for at least rejuvenating the human part of you.
"No problem. You deserve that for all you've done."

Must be dark in there.
>Look for an instruction manual of the generator
>Follow the instructions
(Might get +1 b/c light)
[4] The instructions are right on the generator. All you had to do was press the starter button, and leave the rest to the automatic ignition system. A loud chugging sound comes from the generator as electric light bulbs glow warmly. They're the incandescent kind, so they also give off considerable heat.
> Holy shit, they can hear me. That's wicked. But being alive and having that missile railgun would be wickeder. Convey your location to the goddesses and Sanae with every relevant coordinate system possible. Send out spiritual beacons, do a ghost dance, do whatever the hell it takes to get noticed by them.
[1] You watch as your body gets trampled and mauled beyond recognition. It feels like Black Friday, only this takes place in the streets instead of a shopping center.
>"Yeah, yeah. Get the message to the almost-dead girl. Gotcha!"
>No time to waste! Rocket to Haruko's location! Allocate skill points into Locate (People) if needed.
[5] BONUS: Your next roll gets 1 added to it.
Your gut feeling tells you that there's one other place Haruko would be at. If it's not the Myouren Temple, then it's the other guarded place in the village...
...You arrive at Aykuu's mansion and tell the guards your intent. One of them opens the gate, and another one leads you to the basement, where an unmatched sock is talking to Akyuu. Haruko is quietly weeping to herself near them. After the two of them are done talking, you spill the news in a quiet but confident voice:
"Haruko's mother is at the Myouren Temple."
All three of them look at you. Haruko walks up to you with teary eyes of hope.
"How badly is she hurt? Will she make it?"
After a few seconds, she makes a request that causes Akyuu to gasp:
"Can you take me to her?"
shoot shoot shoot I'm totally late
>Ouch. Trampled, huh? I knew this village was a death trap. I just knew it.
>Catch the goddesses' attention. "Hey, uh, didn't we come here to warn people about something kinda sorta urgent? Not to ruin the moment or ignore Kappa or anything, but... one of you should probably stick around and do your warning before the crowd disperses too much, right?"
>NOW listen to find out what's going on. Make a note of which direction the revival squad goes on too. Getting separated here is just asking for trouble, apparently.
[5] BONUS: Your next roll gets 1 added to it.
"ARRRGH! It's too late! His body's no longer able to hold his spirit!"
"Hey [...] right?"
Sanae's eyes grow wide.
"Right... We came to warn them."
She flies up above the crowd and cups her hands in front of her mouth:
"Everyone! Please quiet down! I'm here to tell you things that might save your lives!"
The roaring crowd silences itself within a few seconds.
"You all remember the Watsuki murder incident, right? The merciless slaughter of all those men and women at the Hakurei Shrine?"
Murmers of disbelief come from the crowd.
"Now, I know many of you saw the Watsuki girl narrowly escape her own death just two days ago. I also know that many of you are adherents of the shrine, whether it's due to your own will or by force."
Again, murmers run through the crowd.
"Don't take what I'm about to tell you next as propaganda. This is only meant to save your lives, but if you want to seek protection from us, you are welcome to do so."
Sanae clears her throat:
"As we speak, Reimu is channeling the powers of Izanami no Mikoto. For those of you who may have forgotten, that's the Goddess of Death."
Gasps of surprise come from all around you.
"I'll leave it at that. What you all do next is completely up to you. Just keep in mind that she won't hesitate to kill you if she feels like it's necessary, so don't do anything senseless if she ever comes by to visit."
Kanako and Suwako join in:
"As the goddesses of the Moriya Shrine, we give all our blessings to you. However, we can't control your actions, so all we can tell you is that you should not provoke her. At times, you may even have to listen to her against you will. Just be smart about it, and there won't be too many victims. In the meantime, we will do whatever we can to convince her to stop what she's doing. The man's gone, and this incident should have been over long ago."
