>Quite predictably, Luna looks away and sighs.
>You begin following the backwards walking fairy, keeping a distance to her while trying to spot if there's anything fishy going on.
>After around the same amount of time you spent previously on walking in this direction, the backwards walking fairy vanishes from your sight without warning!

>"Hey! Stop! Come back  here!"

[Tapsa]

>"Hey! Stop! Come back  here!"

>There is no response. She also doesn't un-disappear.
>"She... She's gone!" Luna points with a shaky hand where the fairy still was just a moment ago, and backs away a little. "What if we go backwards? What if we're gonna be gone too!? Wait, I just did! Help!"

>"Yeah, maybe she found the way out or something!", Star says.
>"Okay, fine, maybe it's okay, I didn't disappear yet!", says Luna.

>You don't get very far before the purple-haired fairy suddenly reappears out of nowhere right in front of you, running and yelling something! Unable to bring herself to a halt, the fairy smacks into you in a brutal head-on collision, knocking you on your back to the ground!

>You spend some time trying to piece everything together before trying to get up, but the same old purple-haired fairy lying on top of you is making picking yourself up needlessly difficult for you.
>The fairy lifts her head off your chest with a groan and slowly assumes a sitting posture atop you. She boggles at you with slightly crossed eyes, still looking dazed and unhappy, before a victorious grin stretches across her face.
>"Hey! Everybody! I caught 'em! It's a fairy too!", the fairy says.

>The fairy laughs at you.
>"You think I'm dumb? It's you! Now I'm gonna tickle you till you wanna mercy!"
>She shakes her head with a wblblblbl to get rid of her remaining dizziness. Instead of carrying out with her threat, she pauses to take a closer look at you. You can tell from her face she's realized that she's made a terrible mistake.
>"Huh? Isn't this Sunny!?"
>"Get off Sunny already, you dumb!", says Luna as she shoves the fairy off you. The fairy yelps and topples over to your side. You're no longer pinned down.

>"Oooooh...So you definitely disappeared for a minute. Wonder if it works the other way?"

>"I didn't disappear, you disappeared! Then I ran back and you un-disappeared right in my face! Not funny!", pouts the fairy.
>"Sounds like it does.", Star says.

>"Okay! So, that means there's got to be a place where it happens. Let's find it then poke it with a stick!"

[Tapsa]

>"Hmm... Look here."
>Star picks up a stick and tosses it. A skillful toss, but it still ends up bouncing off a tree trunk. She turns around and picks up another stick, this time tossing the stick over her shoulder while facing the opposite direction. It vanishes midair after travelling just a couple feet away from Star!
>"Hey, anything different? I didn't hear it hit anything.", Star says, still keeping her back toward where she chucked the stick.

>Let's try to straddle the vanishing point, with one leg on one side and one on the other, and see what happens.

>"It did?" Star looks behind. "Huh, so just like I thought. Sweet!"
>You imagine an invisible line on the ground below the stick's vanishing point and position yourself so that you have one leg on one side of the line and one on the other side. Nothing seems to happen, though.
>"Keep doing that same thing, but try turning!", says Star.

>You turn, but you're still not feeling or seeing anything out of ordinary. Your companions are giving you weird looks, though.
>The fairy springs up off the ground at last. "Where'd half of you go!?"
>"You sure that's healthy..?", Luna says, fidgeting nervously.
>"Our whole buddy disappeared just a moment ago but nothing happened to her, it's gotta be fine.", says Star.

>Keep turning. "What's happening I can't see!"

>"You can't see!? That's not okay at all! Get outta there!"
>Luna tries to rush to you, but Star steps in front of her.
>"Don't panic yet! I gotta try this thing too.", Star says before she begins to approach you.
>"You're crazy! You're gonna go blind too!"
>Luna desperately grasps and tugs on Star's sleeve, only to be shaken off, faceplanting herself into moss.
>Star assumes the same footing as yours, turns around and positions herself by your side. Now that there's two of you standing in "halves" on the vanishing point, something seems to be happening. You notice that ripples similar to heat haze are starting to form in the air, even though it's not that hot in the shade of this forest.

>"Okay. Oh, and I'm seeing just fine!"
>You have a look at the ripples in air. This certainly does remind you of what usually happens when your light shenanigans go awry, but you really have no way of telling whether it's genuine light trickery like yours or a magic going haywire from what you're doing currently.
>"Um, why does everything look weird?", says Luna, looking around nervously.
>"Looks like standing here backwards is making this whole thing freak out.", Star says, then points at the fairy. "You, come stand here too!"
>The fairy shakes her head rapidly. "I don't wanna be blind!"
>"How'd I point at you if I'm blind? Come on!"
>"But, uh, you're a... Fine!"
>The fairy hesitantly moves over to stand backwards by you and Star. As soon as she gets in formation, additional and larger ripples appear in the air.

>"Are you sure this is gonna be okay? I don't like this stuff in the air...", Luna says.
>"We're gonna find out. Get over here!", Star says and gestures Luna to come over.

>Luna reluctantly pulls over to you and joins the rank. Aside from even more ripples appearing, your surroundings become severely distorted. Tree trunks take long, noodly appearances, some even winding up into spirals, and several blind spots with nothing comprehensible beyond them start popping up in the air.
>"What... What the heck is this!?", Luna says, staring terrified at the increasingly messed-up turning surroundings.
>You hear a very loud clap-like sound, and suddenly, the heavily distorted image of the forest recedes away from you into the distance!

>"Hah! Show's it what's what! Hey Star, have another look around."

[Tapsa]

>"Hah! Show's it what's what! Hey Star, have another look around."

>Luna blinks. "What just happened?"
>"Hey, wait a sec!" The nameless fairy's head swivels from side to side, looking in disbelief at all of you, before she fistpumps the air in celebration. "Nobody's part-gone! Nobody's gone at all! Yeah, we won!"
>You instruct Star, but it looks like she was already in middle of concentrating on trying to detect things.
>"Nope, don't feel anybody out there. Either there's nobody here but us, or the thing that did this is real good at staying still!", she says.
