The Mid Ninjas are most likely getting new evolutions, upgrading to "High Ninja." This is because High Ninjas will appear in the dungeon for Naoe Kanetsugu's Descend.

They will be receiving the "Devil" subtype in addition to a primary type. However, you might think they all receive Attacker as the primary type. This isn't the case. The newly announced High Wood Ninja now becomes Balanced/Devil, with his LS being a 1.5x HP and ATK boost to Balanced types, for example. You might also be disappointed to learn that they get completely different Active Skills... but do not despair! They actually skillup existing monsters! High Wood Ninja skills up Thumbelina while High Dark Ninja skills up Rebel Seraph Lucifer. Not even kidding.

A 12 cost guy with Morning Star who is Attacker/Devil? Sure I'll take it.

Also, stats for Naoe Kanetsugu came out:

Active Skill - Heals 20% of your maximum HP, and restores 1 turn of binds
Leader Skill - Boosts the ATK, and HP of Dragon and Attacker types by 2x

I'm more interested in what the rest of the ninjas will do. Do they ever do skillup fodder for event monsters? A Misato skillup would be the greatest thing ever. Or maybe an Echidna skillup other than Naga.

I think the closest you'll get is some collabs having overlapping skill-up monsters, I can't think of any for event REM only but with all the JP only stuff out there ~who knows~

Kinda hard to stall in a boss rush but at least Hera-Sol is a pushover and gives you a whole bunch of turns


I guess Kirin with Susanoo/Kushi, Isis/Metatron, Echidna/Other delay, and an orb changer or something might work.
Floor 1 you get 1 free turn because Isis/Meta are bind proof, and another free turn if you beat her to 25% HP.
Floor 2 you also get free turns when she binds and you clear it with Isis/Meta.
Floor 3 again you get a free turn when she's low and with enough +eggs you can take at least one 18k hit.
Floor 4 use echidna.
Floor 5 is lol easy, make sure to end it with Susanoo though.
Final boss unleash gravities + light orb changer to one hit.

I have no idea what to do if the Metal Dragon spawns though. Pray to Anubis i guess?

As far as I know the only collab-exclusive monster getting a skill-up besides PADZ stuff is PAD BT's Light Dragon Girl whatever her name is translated to, who got a skill up in the Saint  Seiya collab.
But whether PADBT can be considered a collab is arguable I guess.

That's the thing. All the good Dragon types (either as primary or subtype) aren't literally dragons; they're just people with dragon-traits/dragon-related, or dragon riders (Freyr), or some such.

Like, you have Zaerog, who looks cool as hell, but he's really not that great, even when cost was lowered from 110 (!!!!) to 60... And Bold Pirate Lord Zaerog's not exactly that much better than Maleficent Dragon Lord form, they are probably comparable... You got the 5 Mechdragon Fusions who look really cool too but you need the fusions of Mechdragons to get God Canopus or Demon Hadar, I dunno how really good they are. The list goes on and on where literal dragons are the epitome of mediocrity. Even Healers are a lot better than dragon, they have got an increasing variety of options. NA is also getting access to Balanced-type boosters as well.

Uhhh not really. R/R Freyr is generally still a better sub- R/L Freyr, while awesome, is not really any better if you don't have his team.

Essentially. I mean, Freyr has more options than just sonia which is a very real thing and super important- But yeah, Sonia is stupid.

Bold Pirate Zaerog is better than Maleficent Zaerog as a sub, at the very least. His awakenings might not be as good but he's got the decent active and outright better stats than Maleficent.

Of course, his negative RCV still proves to be a problem, he's still a rather mediocre statstick even after you take the massive increase from the uvo into account + awakenings and he's primarily water which means that he can't really be paired with most good dragons (which are either red or dark) though his dark sub attribute does mitigate that somewhat.

And Maleficent Zaerog, despite having a godlike leader skill in theory, suffers from extremely long cooldown on his active (and since getting zaerog is next to impossible skilling it up isn't exactly an option either) has absolutely terrible stats especially for the 5 million experience curve and only decent awakenings.

Plus, both Zaerogs suffer from the exorbitant cost problem, 60 cost is still the highest in the game, even if it is much lower than the original 110.
