EoSD 1cc Normal 2 D 4 B, finally captured Red Magic, still getting eye pains from looking at Scarlet Netherworld.(Is this the right name ?) Simple stuff, yet still an improvement.

Captured 2 difficult spell cards this week.
-Saigyouji Flawless Nirvana
I found it very easy and still hard specially the red butterflies. The bubbles bullet only stand to annoy you.

-Recollection "Vague Recollection of Kinkaku-ji"
This was incredibly HARD, specially using Hatate, before taking the last photo i micro-grazed 2 bullets and *Say cheese satori*. I was so happy~!

Then those were not the only 2 good things.
-I won against Hecatia Lapislazuli~ sadly i could only capture the first spellcard, all the other ones were hard(since i was using Reisen), and her Moon Non-spells and spells are incredibly crazy, specially the homing Moons.

-Won against Raiko Horikawa with Sakuya A. It only took me 2 tries and then i managed to win~! Only the last spellcard was annoying and couldn't capture it, but managed to capture the majority of the spellcards.

Finally cleared DDC Extra with a non-broken shottype.

edit: and not to mention that I also captured Sixth Drum "Alternate Sticking"

What modos would EoSD and PCB be considered ? :V

EoSD and PCB are both a little step over easy modo. like almost to normal modo I'd say.

And it's because of the stage 5 boss for both, god damn time controlling breaks my mind but the stage 6 of both are really easy.
stage 4 of both are notable, though not everyone has trouble with those stage 4.
some say it's the books from EoSD, others say it's the 4th boss of PCB.
From there it's up to you to judge where they class on a difficulty ranking with other games

I've only ever 1CCed IN and MoF, although I've heard that IN is technically the easiest in the series...

Is that referring to the easiest game on any difficulty, i.e. Easy mode? I'd argue TD is easier than IN. Though you don't get as many lives in TD as in most games in the series (without routing out trances, something newer players likely won't be doing). So it might balance out.

MoF Easy is possibly one of the harder ones to 1cc, since you can't easily bomb through the final spell, so if you can't dodge it at all (and it's among the most difficult Easy spells in the series) it can take a lot of lives.

Oh, I've 1CCed them both on Normal, I've just heard that IN is the easier one. I'm planning to 1cc UFO next, because I found that it's pretty easy to gain lives!

Just as it is easy to loose them. I wouldn't recommend UFO, it's pretty hard.

To be honest, I don't find Shou as hard(well, when I can actually get to her)- for me, I lose the most lives when I fight Murasa, mainly due to her last spell card. But curvy lasers are always a pain..

If I can also ask, for those guys who've 1cced LoLK, how hard was it? Maybe I'm just too novice, but I've only ever managed to get to Clownpiece on Pointdevice, and even now it's taken at least 100 tries to get past one of her spellcards..

Shou was actually pretty easy after so many attempts, especially after grinding LoLK Legacy Normal so much.

Byakuren was a royal pain to defeat, particularly from her 3rd nonspell onwards (even though I manage to clear Devil's Recitation pretty consistently as of lately).
I actually consider her the toughest final boss in Touhou, even harder than Junko.

Now only SA is left without a Normal 1cc... :X

LoLK is pain and I still haven't 1cced it despite the time that has passed since it came out. Clownpiece is the most evil thing in the Touhou, and Junko is just unfair.

For what games are good to take on first (IMO, obviously. I'm no expert)
- EoSD is actually quite easy, but you can't see your hitbox and hitboxes are wonky
- PCB is fun and I'd recommend this one next (it was my first game to 1cc AND clear extra)
- SA is suffering, don't attempt unless you're ready
- UFO has high resource gain, but the patterns make it just as easy to loose
- TD has easy patterns, but extremely low resource gain, so there's little room for error
- DDC is like UFO, but patterns are easier and resource gain trickier
- LoLK is evil, I'd save this one for last

I think PCB and EoSD should be your focus now, then TD and DDC, then UFO and SA, and finally LoLK. Anyway, good luck and have fun!

I'd say that stage 5 (both stage portion and Clownpiece) is actually the hardest part in the main game. Clownpiece is really hard indeed, I've grinded her first spell for like 75+ attempts (Pointdevice Normal) and finally got past it. The rest of her fight is also really exhilarating, but not as hard as her first spell.
Stage 6 gives you a good breather before facing Junko, albeit there's a really tricky survival part which is a gloriously huge streaming pattern.

I'd recommend you to stockpile bombs to defeat Clownpiece and save some for that hard part of stage 6.  :V

Junko isn't actually too hard, if you don't mind micrododging.

Dayum, I actually already unintentionally 1cc'd DDC on Hard, while in SA Normal I'm already getting rekt in stage 4...
The part between the midboss and boss in stage 3 where Yuugi just stays onscreen takes most of my lives and then Satori delivers the final blow.  :V

have yet to work out a proper strategy of managing resources since I'm being too much of a freak for stockpiling lives and finally do some proper dodging (DDC Hard was a complete bombspam disaster post stage 4).

Well, SA Normal 1cc is still my next goal before taking on all the Extra's and then the Hard 1cc's (for real) BV

Yuugi's stage is actually pretty easy. The lasers are static and Yuugi's balls aimed toward you. Satori also has a blaring hole on her nonspells which could make the entire boss fight easier if you know how to deal with them. Orin is where hell breaks loose (lol)

Anyway, IN Hard 1cc with Yukari, this time with only 3 lives. It was intense...

YES! First Extra Clear on EoSD Reimu B, sure i fucked up on Maze of Love because i stood too close and lost 2 lives because of that, but i did it !!!!

Kind of a silly 1.050b run in easy mode with Reisen, I think I'll upload this and improve this in the future. For now I should probably aim for the current goals I have, I have no clue what to do afterwards, maybe get an MS LNB already?

I've been off of the Touhou scene (very little of it) for the last two or so years but I was fiddling through various game directories when I remembered I have that 9 stage Imperishable Night patch. So being the rusty brilliant person that I am (I didn't particularly master or play IN too often but I'm between Hard/Lunatic skill level in IN). While doing the 9 stage gauntlet I seemingly forgot to include the extra stage as stage 9. After I beat Kaguya with two bombs and two lives left I was letting my guard down thinking I was done... that is until the extra stage started and I was slightly panicking because I thought I was done for some reason (and consequently ran into a delayed red bullet trail a group of fairies left, a mistake I never make).

For someone who hasn't played IN at all for a couple of years I cleared a lot more patterns than I thought I would (I was the Youmu/Yuyuko team). Ended up clearing the extra stage and finishing the 9 stage gauntlet with 1 life and 1 bomb (so glad I got the fairy at the end to drop a life). Think I got all last spells to trigger but I only cleared maybe half of them (and Reimu's somehow).

Intense stuff. I also forgot to mention I did it on Hard difficulty.

I was bored and kinda thought about comparing the difficultiy levels of DDC and LoLK and chose Easy Mode, because that's still the only mode I can consistently clear :V

Managed to perfect DDC Easy, while on LoLK PD Easy I suffered three retries. Thanks Clownpiece.


On a sidenote: Finally got to Orin in SA Normal. She's a pain, I think her nonspells are pretty much on par with Clownpiece's, her spells also aren't much easier for me.
