"Future Hatate" and "Past Hatate" are to the liking of everyone? I am leaving my intervention hanging for another player to correct with " I like x and y better after all".

Moreover,  I have tidied  my previous post, meant for potential guide not  to be topsy-turvy due to information overflow. Sorry  https://www.shrinemaiden.org/forum/index.php/topic,16984.msg1115615.html#msg1115615

I'm cool with Past and Future Hatate. But for now, let's let Celes take care of herself. We have business with our Doppelganger.

>Celes can handle herself, let's not bother bringing up the idea of helping her out right now. We got more important things to discuss. Not to mention it would be extremely gauche to interrupt a duel, and possible get a shrine maiden on our tail.

Fine. However I still mean to send Future Hatate or her acquaintances to fetch Celes up if she starts to miss out too much on  this one Moriya Shrine shenanigans.Just in the off-chance of spreading the party  too thin while there are breakthroughs.

>Clarification request. Did you wish to head back down the mountain to where you left Celes?
Let us go along with Purvis line but make my mention of Celes a mental reminder for our Hatate and not a vocal request.

>"Oh yeah, that's how I knew you were the real thing." your twin says confidently. "You feel like I used to."
>You don't often consciously exercising that ability anyway, but now that your curiosity has been aroused, you take a feel of the air around your twin.
>Or rather, you try to. Your connection to the winds doesn't tell you anything about your twin. In fact, it feels like she isn't even there. In fact, you can't feel anything at all around you, not even still air. The closest sensation of any sort you get is Momiji's presense some distance back.

> As a precaution, remember to carve that feeling of distinction and individuality into your consciousness and to communicate it with our companions.
>Quickly add  :" I am considering to differentiate you and I  by naming you Future and I Past Hatate lest we run into cumbersome misunderstanding not dissimilar from the last or forget our places like the Rans."

>You make a mental note.
>Your counterpart chuckles. "Whatever rubs your Buddha." she says as she points towards a rather sizable marble-shod mansion down below. "That's our destination." With a grin, she adds, "Bet you never thought Momiji'd live in a place like that, eh."

>Did being unable to sense anyone via winds include Ranka? Or had she moved on/out of range?

>If the wind spirit is in range, she is as undetectable as anything and everyone else around you. Other than your Momiji, that is.

>This Momiji lives in style, her house a large two-story affair with a marble wall surrounding its scrupulous grounds. A stout aqueduct feeds a small vegetable garden in the back lot, as well as a sizable flower bed. The front yard is bordered by tall maple trees, all in flower at this time of year. Your twin leads you in for a landing on the sizable slate roof, next to one of the two large skylights. Without any hesitation, Hatatwin pulls the large porthole open and drops down into the house. "Come on down." she calls up to you.

>Drop down after her.

>Entering into Other-Momiji's mansion, you find yourself in a sizable room, well furnished with a long sofa, several comfortable looking chairs, and a coffee table large enough to accomdate a number of people. In addition to the skylight that admitted, a pair of tall windows annointed by deep red curtains admit the light of day. There is a more mundane door in the south wall, which your dopelganger currently has her head stuck of, though she pulls it back in when she heads your arrival. "Whaddya feel like, a nice red?" she asks, meaning wine, you would assume.

>"You know me well enough to surprise me."
>Remove footwear, and stretch out on the couch.

>"Heheh. I think I can pull that off." Poking her head back outside again, you hear her say, "There still a couple bottles of that Yukishirou mead knocking around?"
>"I think so, yes."
>"Swell. Send a bottle of that up, if you'd be so kind." your counterpart says with a flourish as you have a good stretch out. Her placing her order grants you a moment to further examine some of the fixtures in this room, starting with the artwork. Three framed images hang upon the wall, but the one that catches your eye straight off is the smallest of the three. It is a full body shot of Aya. At first glance, it didn't seem like anything special, since she is wearing her normal outfit, doesn't seem to be carrying anything out of the ordinary or posing extravagantly, simply standing in an open field smiling for the camera. But there's something a little different about the Aya you see pictured. It's her smile, you hit on after a moment's thought. There's a sense of what you'd call freedom in that smile, an ease of expression. It's the smile of a woman who's free of what had been burdening her, of one who can enjoy her life for the first time in a very long time, maybe even ever.
>"I've always liked that one myself." your twin remarks as she plops herself down in a chair to your northeast. "I actually think it's one my best."

>"Mm, doesn't ring any bells."
>So you then inform her of the Divine Spirit outbreak, which heralded the awakening of Toyosatomimi no Miko. She nods at that one. "Yeah, that takes me back. I remember, Aya used to think Miko was gonna be more trouble than she turned out to be. But this Night of Rage, that's a pretty ominous name."
