> Be Unzan.

Sorry, he's not actually silver! The filter just makes him look that way due to his wispy nature. In the current COMMAND INTERPRETER version (14), you need a BLUE COMMAND INTERPRETER to give commands to Ichirin, and a PINK COMMAND INTERPRETER to give commands to Unzan.

> Keine: Consider relationship with Myouren Temple.

You are unhappy with the Myouren Temple's presence because of the potential threat the youkai attending it present, and most people are aware of this. Ichirin understands your concerns, so although it is a matter of contention, she is willing to overlook it and maintain a personal relationship with you.

The same cannot be said for Byakuren, but at least the discourse has remained civil so far.

> Keine: Remember Meira.

Speaking of personal relationships gone sour, this woman was responsible for some of the most stressful days of your life.

MEIRA was, at one point, the strongest swordsman in the human village. Before the spellcard rules, she would leave the village for days at a time to go slay youkai. She was heavy-handed, even cruel, and at times she would escalate problems with youkai rather than solve them. To keep things under control, you had to maintain a close working relationship with her, whether you liked it or not.

When Hakurei disappeared, Meira became even more reckless to pick up the slack, and then one day rumors started flying that Meira had made an attempt on little Reimu's life. She distanced herself from the village at that point and refused to give answers for her actions. Once the spellcard rules were put into place, she said there was no point in sticking around anymore, and you haven't seen her since. That was about ten years ago, and that big stack of ANTIFECTION POINTS on your RELATIONSHIP CHART remains to this day. What you were supposed to do with someone like her, you'll never know.

Whoops! While you got caught up remembering, you almost lost sight of Ichirin. You quickly catch up and go say hello.

> Keine: Greet Ichirin.

This is ICHIRIN KUMOI, a Buddhist warrior monk of the Myouren Temple. She was human at one point, but became a youkai due to her association with her partner, UNZAN. She has a cheerful and positive disposition and seems to make friends pretty easily with just about anyone, including you. She can be a motormouth sometimes, though, and she is fully loyal to Byakuren and can be kind of pushy about her ideals concerning youkai equality. Still, she is by far the most reasonable person to interact with among Byakuren's followers.

Also, this is UNZAN. You have never once heard him say anything; he either communicates through Ichirin, or lets his fists do the talking. Thankfully, he seems pretty responsible, despite the grumpy disposition; you've never seen him strike a human (besides Marisa). You like him, you guess, but at the same time it's easy to forget he's there.

Ichirin says hello! It is indeed her day off, and she has been saving up some money to go shopping. She says Shou was supposed to go with her, but she is being forced to repair some damage to the temple grounds after an ALCOHOL-RELATED INCIDENT last night. This gives you a convenient in, and she easily agrees to hang out with you for a while.

You continue to engage in small talk as you walk down the street. The COMMAND INTERPRETER switches over to VISUAL NOVEL MODE to accommodate your vaguely date-like interactions. This gimmick will also save me a lot of work on the art.

Your first choice is obvious enough. These kind of things are always thrown in at the start just to make sure you're paying attention.

Ichirin is happy to receive the compliment on her outfit. She is something of a FASHIONISTA, and will no doubt be interested in shopping for clothes today.

She mentions that she hasn't seen you in glasses before. You explain that you are slightly nearsighted thanks to all that late-night scroll reading, but that you don't normally wear your glasses because they strain your eyes. She says she thinks you should try wearing them with a sweater or a dress shirt. That gets you curious, so maybe you'll give it a try.

You discuss what kind of store you should go to first. What suggestion do you make?

I love how it's just completely deadpan about how he punched Marisa. It spends all this time playing up Keine's worries about youkai committing violence against humans, but Marisa? Don't even need to say she's cool with it, much less why.

> Keine: Save.

You attempt to interact with the VISUAL NOVEL MODE'S special controls, to no avail. They seem to be purely cosmetic. What a crappy mode.

You still need to find a SAVE AKYUU to save your game, it seems.

> Keine: Consider ramifications of youkai equality.

This isn't like getting two different groups of humans to live together peacefully; youkai pose an inherent threat to humans by their nature. A best case scenario is all youkai ending up like Kogasa and just needing to spook humans to keep existing, but forcing humans to live in a constant state of fear for the youkai's sake is hardly fair. The worst case scenario would be what already happened the last time Byakuren tried to get humans and youkai to live side-by-side.

To say you are skeptical of the benefits is an understatement.

But, whoops, now's not the time to think about that!

> Keine: Suggest going shopping for LARP outfits.

Ichirin seems uncomfortable with your idea, given that she is much too cool to be doing nerdy things like LARP. Actually, even you are much too cool to be doing nerdy things like LARP, but here we are. Regardless, she decides to humor you this one time at the expense of gaining an ANTIFECTION POINT.

You and Ichirin (and Unzan) proceed to the LYING WITCH'S WARDROBE COSTUME SHOP.

To participate in a fantasy LARP, you must first pick a class! No, you can't pick Scholar, that's cheating.

You look at a catalog poster on the wall for ideas. You're not sure you can pull off some of these outfits as well as that pink-haired model can, though.

SAVE AKYUUS work for everyone. You only need a PURPLE COMMAND INTERPRETER to give Akyuu commands.
