Puzzles are hard. I keep hoping I'll understand once I staart playing it but I a really bad at puzzles.

from experience I can tell you

you will not understand shit then one day you'll be like 'FIFTEEN COMBO SUCK IT NERDS'

it takes time and practice and not getting frustrated because your stupid burst team dies in one hit

it's not the puzzles, and thankfully I have a defensive team.  it's everything outside that.  what do I save in my 25 slot inventory, what do I power fuse that's worth it, when do I pull?

Don't lynch me.

oh those are fairly easy

a good portion of your inventory early on should be your team and evo materials that are useful

generally the only efficient exp is jewel/metal dragons and pengdra but those are probably a ways off, and gold is cheap once you can do weekdays

never pull outside a godfest, even if the festival seems promising

:negative: i have learned this the hard way

yeah basically

Really it's a deep game and I like that-- there's tons of customization potential and you can make your teams work how you prefer to play-- and it's a completely different game based on what setup you have. Running a burst team? Hope you like being able to quickly match specific orbs or manage your resources. Wanna play stall? Focus on HP multiplying monsters and slowly chip enemies down as you laugh at the damage they do to you. And so on.

You just kind of get it as you go.

it's not the puzzles, and thankfully I have a defensive team.  it's everything outside that.  what do I save in my 25 slot inventory, what do I power fuse that's worth it, when do I pull?

You're going to want to expand that inventory, even at the cost of REM pulls tbh.

Basically the way I do things is:
1. Do I want it? If no, fuse away.
2. Do I need it? If no, fuse away.
3. Is it worth a lot of experience? Focus it on something worthwhile-- and to be honest you're best off focusing on your lower level monsters first because there's an exp curve and it really becomes steep after like level 50. While 50,000 exp is a lot to a low level monster, it is hardly enough for a single level up on higher levels. So the payoff is much lower.

You can always check PDX or use the PADGuide app (for Android and for iOS) for information on what everything is worth and what everything has the potential to be.

Ranked up for a second king carnival run and tried to go in, and the app crashed. Opened it back up and I was down 50 stamina with no dungeon to show for it. orz

At least I got two super kings from the first run, which means another Hera at 80. Just one more, then Hades, and then maybe my Lucifer too.

-my- stupid burst team dies in two hits.

Like Maisuri said, there's bunches of options and utility for every style. Also noteworthy is that almost every mob, with the exception of... Greco-Roman, Indian, Japanese, and 3 Kingdoms(?), and Healer girls every unit generally comes in a series for every color, with mostly identical abilities for their colors.

To that extent, you can generally figure out your dream team by watching others, even if they're off your color or style, because their utility subs can always finda spot on your team.

Biggest example, Echidna, followed closely by Siren.

One exception to the rules is anything gotten from the rare egg machine. Stuff from there isn't easy to replace and if you want to get it back, odds are you won't.

I'm thinking of leaving Kirin un-ulted for now. Sandalphon should be coming any moment now.

Unless it's one of the endless duplicates you'll get of golems/knights/healer girls/toy dragons. Just use them on the ones you already have (of the same type!) and skill 'em up.

This discussion reminds me to ask, does anything special happen if I feed a higher level skill monster to a lower skill level one? Assuming identical skills, of course.

I may have used 3 REM pulls :P

I got 4 star crap but my cost capacity is high enough to support them.

My current team is Susano lvl 30 / Tyrannos lvl 23 / marine goblin lvl 22 / Ivory dragon lvl 19 / Black Knight lvl 21.  kind of leaves something to be desired.  luckily helper monsters exist

that's pretty much about how many you should want i guess

getting some boxspace now would be a good idea

also pulling the pal machine now is a fantastic idea for you with an ivory dragon, since you could use some fruits for it to make a burst team eventually.

it began for me right when class started :negative:

i did pick up some stones though instead.

I'm not sure if I'll roll this fest, Minerva would still be nice, especially since I don't know when or if we'll get the battle tournament (Probably not soon, they'd probably try to time it like Z and have it when it's released stateside, if ever), and a ROTK dude would be okay

otherwise i have the rest of the old greco-roman dudes

I don't know if I should stick to the normal rule of "ROLL ONLY ONCE" this godfest.

I mean, it's Greco-Roman I only, right? That means no Ares for me. And the only others I'm even remotely interested about are Cao Cao and Guan Yu. Though Cao Cao wouldn't really work on my monored since he's Attacker-only.

And Guan Yu would be like the godlike leader for a Dragon Team (An unconditional 3,5x ATK with an RCV boost -and- actually existant RCV? And he doesn't have Kouryu/Zaerog levels of cost? Holy shit! Also 2 Auto Heals to help keep yourself at 50% for the bonus RCV and a Row Enhance) but he's part of the Special Gods series and WE ALL KNOW HOW IMPOSSIBLY HARD IT IS TO GET THOSE GUYS RIGHT :colonveeplusalpha:

Unless PDX has it wrong(it should, since there's clearly a dragon there in the artwork but who knows) Guan Yu is God/Physical, NOT Dragon at all.

EDIT:  Oh there're two.  Nevermind.

You sure about that? I'm checking PDX right now and it says right here "God/Dragon".

EDIT: Oh right, both new Specials are Guan Yu, didn't notice that.

R/D Guan Yu, then :derp:

EDIT?: Since I have a lot of free time I guess I did some theory crafting on good Dragon Teams but I can only come up with Red Guan Yu/RSonia/Strawberry Dragon/Ancient Draggie Knight, Zeal/Betelgeuse(Or Demon Hadar)/Red Guan Yu.

Which is mostly IAP but I guess anything with Guan Yu on it is mandatorily IAP.

At least there's room for Draggie and the Mechdragons which are fortunately non-IAP, though Draggie won't really make much use of the Strawberry Dragon -> Guan Yu combo nor Sonia's Orbchange, nor either Mechdragon's skill. He'll literally only be there because of the 2,5x enhance which would only be a x30,6 burst in the long run, though aside from draggie I don't know what one could put in there.

Regarding dragon teams, ult. Uriel is a thing with a terrifying recovery stat. Assuming Betelgeuse gets an ultimate, you can have 7 row boosts in addition to a fire orb enhance, on top of having five orb changers.

Another dream team...  :ohdear:

Getting the S rank is really easy with a lvl ~30 ult Hino or lvl ~62 ult Echidna and Godin (higher level the better). Even better if there's auto-recover somewhere and then making sure the mid ninjas don't attack when you're not full.

I just took two valkyries and had at it. It helps to have an orbchanger or two.
