> "No," says Sanae.  The light engulfs you. 
> You hear a ringing sound, and then everything goes quiet and dark.
> When you come to, you feel yourself lying on something soft.  The covers shift, and you feel someone's arm bump into yours.  It smells pleasantly like summer outside, and sounds of wind chimes come from outside.

> You open your eyes and find yourself looking at a ceiling and wooden rafters.  You're in a room, underneath the covers of a futon, while Sanae sleeps soundly next to you.  From beyond the screen doors you catch a glimpse of the sky and trees, as well as a shrine gate.  This must be the Moriya's.

> You sit up and address Sanae.  She covers her mouth to yawn, and then stretches her arms.
> "Mmm....yeahh?" she slurs.

> Without waiting for Sanae, you get out of bed and walk over to the screens behind you.  Opening them, you see an ordinary forest scenery.  This is definitely the top of Youkai Mountain, alright.
> As Sanae sits up and rubs her eyes, you note that she still has the wings you saw her with earlier.  Once she has unfurled them, she leaves the room in the direction you saw the shrine gate.

> You follow Sanae out to the front path.  It appears to be midday, and upon looking up at the second story windows, none of them appear to be broken or darkened.

> "I don't recall it being broken," Sanae says.  She's headed for the stairs.

> "This is my world.  I can just create a new one!" Sanae says.  "Let's go.  I want to see this tunnel you were talking about earlier."

> "I'm telling you to use your imagination.  You're no fun," Sanae says with a pout.

>"Fine, cannon travel service"
>"Well, last time I tried anything like that around here, I kind of got cursed feathers that I ended up coughing up later."

> "Fine I'll think of something by myself," says Sanae, and closes her eyes.

>"I've been meaning to ask you, how come you didn't end up cursed when you did your wingly thing there?"

> "I've had these since forever," Sanae says as a slide appears in front of the two of you.  It winds down the mountain, over the town below and off into the distance.  Sanae takes a seat at the head of the slide.
> "So are you coming or not?" she asks, looking back at you.

>Have a seat. Push off when it is time.

> You take a seat behind Sanae, and then push off.
> You've flown at fast speeds before, but nothing like this.  You and Sanae go sailing as the world passes by in a blur.  Your hair flies out behind you, and it's some sort of miracle that Sanae's doesn't get in your face.  You slide left and right, making dips and turns past what you think are trees and buildings.  Sanae screams in delight the entire time.
> The ride lasts forever and mere seconds all at once.  You feel the slide dip down, and then the two of you are hurtling towards a road surrounded by forest.

>Prepare to use Sanae to break our fall, then.

>Prepare to use Sanae to break our fall, then.

> You brace yourself, and try to grab onto Sanae's shoulders to steal yourself when land.  The slide ejects you onto the road, and you both go flying; you bounce off Sanae and land on the sidewalk, a little sore but otherwise unhurt.  Sanae's laughter stops when she smacks headfirst into the road and keeps rolling for a good ten meters before coming to a stop.  She twitches a little, and you hear her whimper.

>"You okay?"

>"You okay?"

> You ask Sanae if she's okay, but as she pushes herself into a sitting position, it's clear that she isn't.  Her arms and legs are scrapped and bruised in various places, and there's a bloody patch on her forehead.  She rubs her eyes and gets to her feet.
> "What the heck was that for?" she cries.
