Ill-Starred Dive is a tricky card, in that it's an early stage card belonging to a not all that notable stage 2 boss, so you brush it off as just making a derp mistake and continuing to underestimate this card. After finally breaking the cycle and throwing it in the spell practice dryer on full cycle (...the hell? >_>), I discovered that if you destroy the familiars on every even wave (since these throw out the red bullets that are difficult to avoid), the card becomes much easier.
As for me, I just played UFO extra for the first time since beating it. I finally captured the Red UFO card (it's honestly not that hard once you know the trick, but it's Fujiyama Volcano level in chain-deathing you if you screw it up even once), made it to her survival card with 2 lives...then lost them both. I swear, first Philosophy's third phase (I've captured that one once ever, fun fact), now this. Not to mention Nue has the gall to not give you ANY power items, forcing you to face her final card handicapped. Thankfully, since it IS a piece of crap, no lives and one bomb at one power was indeed enough to subdue her. Still, this run turned out terribly...
