Am i the only one who considers "breaking the stage" a good thing in an extra stage? I only go there for the boss. Not for restarting because of mistakes in the stage.

Actually, the stage might as well not even be there. SA Extra Stage-portion was part of the reason i stopped caring about SA Extra. The stage is easy enough but very monotonous and getting clipped is likely to occur.
The stage shouldn't be trivializable IMO.  That defeats the purpose.
Unfortunately the only people who don't trivialize IN Extra's stage are... Marisa, Alice, Magic Team, and maybe Yukari.  Y'know, the people nobody uses.

SA Extra is terrible not because the stage isn't trivial, but because there's only one way to do it.

Also, I find Border Team to be one of the most annoying shot types to play as because of their low damage output and because the cool kids use it and because the scorerunners use it and because the uncool kids use it exclusively

>>Border Team
>>Low Damage Output
Haha...

Ordered by power (long range only)
0:24/0:09 Malice - Far (*3)
0:24/0:10 Youmu - Both hitting
0:27/0:10 Remilia (*3)
0:31/0:11 Yukari
0:36/0:13 Marisa - Far (*3)

Fourth most power with MAlice, third without, and it will always hit for at least some damage once locked on(provided you don't unfocus). It might not be the strongest, but it's close, and it's the easiest to use compared to Remilia and Youmu (and MAlice).

I actually don't have a problem with using Scarlet Team (or as it should be known, Remilia plus that useless maid) and would note that IIRC Remilia does more damage than Yukari if you're not firing directly on the boss.

I find Border Team the only one good for non-score playng....
Magic=crap
Netherworld.....unfocused=high power, focused=hueg shotgun? No thanks >.>
Scarlet....not really a fan of these "camping" familiars Remilia has(and MarisaC in MoF I think)
Border has a homing attack in unfocused, a nice, straight and wide laser while focused, with 2 cool survival traits to back it up.

Then again, it's just me. :V

Died to VoGW again, and now I'm shaking so much I can't even try again properly. My reaction time is pretty much inexistant. I let a bullet slowly collide with me when there wasn't anything else nearby (or maybe I ran into it, I'm not sure. Sometimes I press up instead of right).

I feel your pain.

I've just failed my 18th attempt :P

Ah well, I'll leave it for tomorrow... It pisses me off how much I have to restart because of deaths in 1st and 2nd stages though...

3rd and 4th I'm so ready to bomb if danger approaches that i rarely die on them... 5th stage is hell to me =(

Died on Nue's survival card with 0.31 seconds and one bomb left.

Well, that was disappointing. I just attempted PCB Lunatic again, and almost every single death had two or three bombs in stock, on top of which I kept dying retarded deaths on easy attacks. Didn't even make it to Stage 5. <_<
Let's fight.

ARGHHH I get one good run of EoSD in.  No lives lost on Hard Stages 1 and 2 save 1 to Perfect Freeze because I was stupid and ran into Cirno's bullet stream.

Then what do I do?  I lose all my lives on Stage 3 and go into Stage 4 with 0 lives and 1 bomb.  I die not to Patchouli nor the midboss, but to one of those monsters that shoot tons of bullets in a circular pattern over the screen.  I'm going to go cry now.

SA stage 5, should explain itself.

I need a walkthrough for the boss fight or something, I can do everything except the boss fight and Catwalk.

I've solved that by practicing stage 4 and 6, which allowed me to get a lousy stage 5 run :V

Approximately 30 tries of UFO Extra.

~10 deaths to the first fairies.
3 to the two redwall fairies.  All 3 when they fired a wave after dying.
1 to the powerspam.  Fired a bullet after dying.
1 to the homing yin-yangs.  Rammed one while trying to get rid of the blue UFO.
~5 to the swirly fairies.  Crappy dodging.
5 to Kogasa's first card.  Another 5 bombs.  Captured it once.
5 to Kogasa's second card.  Only one bomb.

This means that only once did I get past her second card without dying, on the last run.  I go up to autocollect.

And I clip Kogasa.

I found catwalk doable if you stop following Rin after her first pass (ending up in the bottom left corner), then concentrate on dodging the bullets. Since the bullets travel straight and you have time while they are frozen to see where they are going, you can position yourself to where you know you won't get hit and work on dodging each following ring. I hope that makes sense. If you keep following Rin to shoot her, the bullets will start coming while you're hedged in the right corner, and you'll have no room to dodge.

I see what you mean about Stage 5 though. Her "Needle Mountain of a former Hell" is stupid hard for me. The spinning spirit rings are so hard to see and dodge until it's too late.

And one other thing, Shou and his wonky curvy lasers can just go to hell.

Maybe I should add that I'm using MarisaB.  For some stupid reason, it never occurred to me that I could probably use Earth formation for Catwalk and just stay at the top of the screen...

The stage (and even the noncards) are fine, but just about every single one of her spellcards are aggravating.

Shou's not a guy.

It just happened again.

During what should have been a no-death, no-bomb clear.

But at least I managed to capture QED today - twice. In a row. And one of those was a no death clear, though I did bomb during "And Then Will There Be None?".

But I'm only going to settle for a no-death no-bomb clear. Maybe I'll get it tomorrow. I'm edging painfully closer everyday.

Okay, which one of you said Legendary Flying Saucer is easy for a final spell card? Come on, don't be shy (hides knife). It's a lot like how Sanae's midboss card would be if it weren't the speed of molasses and lasted for a long time with changing patterns: Terrifying.

MoF Lunatic < UFO Hard
SA Luantic < UFO Lunatic

Goddamn Hina.
First time stage 2 made me ragequit.

I ALWAYS bombed just as her nonspells ended. And then I somehow touch the bullets by a nanopixel. Twice.

I'd rather dodge Cirno Shotgun on Lunatic for an hour than this.

MoF is easy, right.

The final phase moves ridiculously fast for bullets that come in from every angle. Imagine if Secretly Inherited Art of Danmaku wasn't micromemorizable, had the same density, lasted a long time, and had bomb immunity, all while moving three times as fast as it usually does. That's Legendary Flying Saucer.

IN lunatic solo Reimu run.  Got to final stage 4/0, things were going smoothly.  Then when I'm 2/0 at Salamander Shield...

"Alright I'm in the clear here, I've got plenty of resources to oh dammit I clipped the damn card right when it ended oh well it's not that big a deal"

"Alright last nonspell, no need to worry since this is easy what the fuck I clipped a bullet and DIED EVEN THOUGH REIMU HAS A FIFTEEN-HUNDRED BILLION YEAR LONG DEATHBOMB TIMER WHAT THE HELL"

"Uh oh I suck at Hourai Jewel and I have no lives oh bomb, deathbomb and gameover all within 20 seconds of each other what the hell random out of nowhere choke that happened at the last possible minute fuck"

Of course I still captured LSI since that shit's easy. :V

I was thrown off by my lulzy 1/2 history on it when I first did a continue spam run of Lunatic.  It's definitely harder than I originally gave it credit for, but I still haven't given it enough time to say where I'd put it in terms of difficulty compared to the other final spell cards.
Whether you're on Easy or you're a Lunatic, be damn proud of your accomplishments.  Don't let anyone convince you otherwise, for it's when you lose faith in your own achievements that those victories become defeats.
