So not even species clause? heh

6 MRAY TEAM GOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Can't do that, game mechanics still count, so only 1 Mega Evo.

Yes? ;_;
Spoiler:
Getting the Latis in the originals was GSC-level-roaming-legends-in-postgame hard. Memories of trying to nab it with Mean Look Crobat because that's allll I haaaad, except it was weak to Psychic.

EDIT: Megaray is so strong he's literally unplayable.
Eh...That was tedious but at least it felt like you earned it instead of the game handing it to you.

Also, how bad could MegaRay actually be, huh? (clicks) ...Man those are some high numbers. o__o I'm getting a bit of a Gen 1 Mewtwo vibe here, remember how broken Mewtwo was?

In other news, decided to sit down and plant some berries...Though it's annoying not having all the growth times in one easily-accessible place (and Bulbapedia hasn't updated their wiki to include full ORAS info yet). Right now I'm growing some Leppa berries and a couple of EV-reducing berries. I also learned you can Fly to individual routes in this game, that...Is really useful! :3c

You might not have to spend so much time doing that-- aren't those rather obsolete at this point? I mean, all you really need is a reset bag and just run training to get the EVs you prefer.

Except Darkrai who's pretty content locking people in nightmares that only Cresselia can cure. And let's not even go into PMD Darkrai.

And Yveltal who is outright stated to be the embodiment of death and kills everything around it to reincarnate.

Those two are pretty malicious too.
I forgot about Yveltal since I didn't play Y so I don't know his deal,  but he strikes me as more a force of nature than evil. Which I suppose you could argue the same for the weather trio, except they seemed particularly hell-bent on causing destruction just for the sake of it. There was some setting somewhere that said that Darkrai's nightmares were only a defense mechanism and aren't necessarily malicious.

EV-reducing berries have a few other uses: being used for pokeblocks, if you want to do minute changes to EVs (say for instance you went over by 8 EVs and dont want to retrain other stats), and to raise friendship.

Reset Bags don't always drop when you need them to (annoyingly enough), and Bio raises a good point. It's more of a curiosity than anything, I'd like to see if the growth times or mutations have changed between X/Y and ORAS (having more berries in general helps, even if you don't use them that much).

Mm, good point. I hadn't considered growth time measurement and such.

As far as reset bags go, I think I've just naturally got one every time I worked on super training EVs to maximum. But just one each time.

I haven't seen any berry mutations happen, but I honestly forgot most of the combinations that make them happen and I think you can get a lot of the berries those combinations create as it is.

Beat the E4 and Steven, my team was Blaziken/Sharpedo/Cradily/Magneton/Flygon/Gardevoir. My tip: once you make it through Victory Road and can fly to the League, go to Lilycove and delete any HM moves off your team, then use TMs or the Fallarbor move relearner to add moves you find more suitable to your team. Use the Eon Flute to fly back with your battle-ready team.

What is it with Nintendo and musical instruments that make you warp around? That...Is hella useful. I'm almost done with my berry farming anyways (I'm missing Bluk berries), so I may go ahead and finish the game.

Since Kyogre/Groudon are cutscene-locked, if you defeat them the first time and encounter them later, will their natures and stats change?

All legendaries fought in the story (except the ones you are forced to capture) can be defeated and then soft reset for later.

Old design. New design? >:(
Pokemon Special Kagari is best Kagari.
Though I don't mind new AR Kagari, I feel they relied a bit too much on cheap tropes to develop her character. Too much of a kuudere moe doll. At least in Japanese, not sure what the English translation did for her though.

Same. The inner completionist compelled me otherwise

The only thing that bothers me atm is that you can't buy evolution stones in this game, you have to earn them through Super Training. Oh well, at least it gives me an excuse to use it.

It's not too bad, especially when you consider it only takes a minute or less to clear each training round at that point.

But yeah I'm all about the new 3DS because better processing power. Maybe I can finally use the 3D without gross framerate drop! (That and my normal 3DS just hurts to hold after a while, I want a bigger one.)

Yeah, I feel ya. Those corners...Might as well be an NES controller at that point. :V

In other news, tried my hand at Wonder Trading in my Y game...I got two Wurples, a Goldeen and a Skorupi.  :derp: I plan on making this my "Advent Calendar" of sorts; to WT one Pokemon a day until Christmas. Sadly, results don't look good at the moment, I think everyone's got the same idea as me.

I get ya'll with the uncomfortable 3DS problems.  I wouldn't mind an upgrade either.

I downloaded Alpha Sapphire and been playing that.  There was a couple of incidents with the touchpad and one thing lead to another and my Treeko is nicknamed Ffj.  In my defense though, the enter button really looks like the backspace button.

I don't know why they arranged it like that in the 3DS games, it does feel a bit unintuitive. >_>

Firth day of Wonder Trading: German Shroomish. To its credit, it has a good nature (Jolly) and a good ability (Poison Heal), so this wasn't a bad find.

UPDATE: Sixth day gave me a JP Zigzagoon.

Also, a question: in order to get the Diploma (or whatever it's called these days), do you have to have the Pokedex filled for one country, or does it take into account all your catches from every country?

I got the Regional Diploma and I have Spanish, German, and Japanese in my dex so it doesn't matter as long as you have it.

Thanks to Dexnav I now have what I think is an ideal breeding pair to obtain a 5IV Chinchou, aiming for Calm nature and Volt Absorb, all the moves I need should be obtainable naturally or via TM.

Can anyone break down for me an ideal breeding/nature/whatever setup for a Gelade to help capture things?

Or whatever it's called. The male version of Gardevoirs evolution chain.

God, I'm such a filthy casual.

Considering Conquest had a Shiny Rayquaza event as well or something if I recall it's not like Shiny Ray is special.

Adamant nature for stronger attack power on False Swipe, you can get Hypnosis by leveling up Ralts/Kirlia before evolving it and Thunder Wave can be gained via TM, so you don't really need to worry about passing down any moves. Your fourth move can be whatever, personally I'd go with Double Team if you're trying to capture something like a legendary that has a risk of hitting you for heavy damage while you're trying to catch it.

Just got this game and loving it. Although not the most attractive offer could anyone mind getting me a ralts around level 9(this doesn't matter to much yeah preferable) with a nature that increases special attack(not bashful pls) and doesn't decrease special defense and defense and preferably doesn't decrease speed?

I'll trade you my male skitty in return, not the best deal sorry but please. Since I just got my first badge Level 10 or above would be preferable but any level is fine.

I got Omega Ruby.

I have the bright idea to enter a Voltorb into a Cuteness content.

Aside from it's intro being HILARIOUS [Voltorb trying to be uggu~], when it got the crowd going:

'Voltorb's irrestible Cuteness is explodeing from it'

That might not be cuteness guys. That's a Voltorb. *BOOM*

Also naturally this Voltorb did nothing but spam rollout the entire contest. And it won.

Totally gonna go for Contest Star on this thing. Because Explosion/Selfdestruct wrecks contents. And the idea of a Voltorb/Electrode being the top Contest star is hilarious.

The cutest Pokeball.

I can't wait to learn some moves by leveling up [I've not used a Voltorb in forever] and teach it some Beauty moves. Like blowing itself up.

===

Andf I beat Master Rank. Apparently a gumpy-looking Voltorb with pink hearts around it is art and is going in a museum. Wat.
