I just started and I already found a typo.
Spoiler:
In Birch's laboratory, it says, "There are a lot books written by Professor Birch here!" I think there's an "of" that's missing.
The best part is that they're trying to teach Japanese on the TVs. I just think it's a bit ironic.

And also,
Spoiler:
that intro sequence was so cool.
I figured out how to play midi in games with a different device on Win7 ^^
TF2 Backpack
Embodiment of Scarlet Hair English Patch is almost completed.

Spoiler:
Man why is the male rival theme still pitched down compared to the female rival's theme? The latter is far superior and still is in the remake.
Spoiler:
As in why not just make a male version remix instead?
I agree that the other is better though. It's also entirely possible that the female rival theme is a pitched up version of the male one.

Spoiler:
No I mean just use the female one for both simply because it sounds better :V

Someone was kind enough to make a base with 6 level 100 Blisseys with only Healing Wish. Hopefully someone makes a QR code for every base possible.

Got my first badge in OmegaRuby so far, progress has been bogged down by DexNav and my compulsion to catch everything I can in a region before progressing onwards.

I am still literally at the part after meeting Wally for the first time because I went to catch a Ralts and have done nothing but EV train her since catching her

Like I am still standing in the same grass spot and I'm just passing the time away doing this

why do i do this to myself

There doesn't appear to be a hunger bar when feeding Pokemon with pokeblocks, so does that mean you can max out all contest stats, or will it have sort of an EV limit?

Spoiler:
No Battle Frontier.

Worst, it's potentially hinted at existing by some NPC's in the 'Battle Resort. I swear to Arceus if they make it DLC....

I don't even remember who put the above in my sig. [Wasn't me] Nor do I understand why I keep it here anymore.
Those two facts sum me up pretty well.

I just raised one of my Pokemon's beauty stat to max using the lowest level pokeblock which was not possible in previous games. I also then fed it all the free pokeblocks of other stats and never got full. It seems there is no limit anymore.

Wally's theme reminds me so much of Remilia's in the beginning parts.
When I heard it first I was very confused for the first few seconds. :V

Didn't they show up early in the old games too? There were uncommon IIRC.

Pretty sure Lotad/Seedot always showed up as early as Route 102. You can usually tell the encounter rates are changed between versions within 3-4 routes at most.

Sorry if I'm remembering incorrectly but weren't theory also version exclusives? Couldn't you get both in emerald.

I just realized I can trade-volve with a single 3ds on the GTS since now I have 2 Pokemon games.

EDIT: Cool little detail I noticed, the DexNav detects Pokemon in the overworld and seem to add it to the Pokedex without an encounter.

Both Seedot's line and Lotad's line appear in Emerald, but at the same time Surskit, which appears in a lot of the same areas, is no longer available and can only be caught in Ruby/Sapphire.  Third versions usually have some of the exclusives that appeared in both of their original games, but at the cost of a few Pokemon that were available in both versions of the original.

Surskit may have been available in almost the entire world but it was like a sub-1% chance encounter @_@; I got one immediately in OR though :D Even if it's garbage until it hits lv17 for bubblebeam... but the way the EXP Share works now makes deadweight pokemon like that a non-issue. (I haven't played since the actual ruby/sapphire emerald so this is a lot of new features! Catching pokemon is a lot more interesting and fun now)

But yeah, if you've ever seen a pokemon, the nav seems to display it. And then once you've caught one, you can just force a battle with it, making rarity a non-issue... neat! It's also kinda convenient for grinding since you can just pick the pokemon that you hit weaknesses on, but, grinding also seems like much less of a thing with how the EXP share works.

Mmmn, I might actually go for filling out the dex since it won't be hard to powerlevel things to evolutions. But I'm only in Dewford so that's a bit far away :V

Yeah, in the original two games, Seedot was in Ruby and Lotad was in Sapphire. Surskit and Ralts were like impossible to find in those games because they had like a 1% chance of actually showing up. I've actually spent a good hour or longer in the original Ruby just waiting for a Surskit to actually appear.

And now they're super easy to get!

I uh... kinda forgot to save last night and my battery died while I was asleep, so I have to start all over. I've already caught TWO Ralts (in less than 5 battles)-- one male, one female. Gonna start super training the female one... again. What a long process.

Got my (Sapphire) copy earlier. Played it for about an hour so far, and I don't know, not that into it so far. No new Pokemon and a remake of a game I already played but didn't love... It's fine, it's not great. I probably won't speed through it like I did Y. At least this time Koffing is available early rather than not at all.
I made a PADHerder. It's probably out of date though.

Ah ha ha Flannery's dialogue is fantastic (I said I probably wasn't going to power through this game but I aaaaaam).

Edit: Route 118 is giving me vivid Touhoumon flashbacks.
