I'm trying to practice Kirin in Endless Corridors. Btw, how many turns do I have to kill Gigas. I've been practicing assuming he goes 3-2-1-Fire and that 3 isn't a preemptive.

Also, I thought poison did require orb matching.
Yeah you have 3 turns but its not preemptive so if you're lucky you can have 4.

With Kirin though you can probably OHKO him, although you want to try to drag out the fight as much as possible for the sake of stalling.

I do, since Hera-Is isn't skilled. However, I don't trust my skill in Kirin not to screw it up.

kiiiiind of want to try for athena?

Like it all seems pretty possible if I were to try:

Nebradisk (I don't have odin rofl, but being able to switch with Lucifer after Gigas would be good)
Lucifer
Vritra or Keeper of Rainbow
Drawn Joker or Thanatos (to keep Ghostring in)
Ghostring (to take out Cu Chulainn) or Thanatos (to absorb Athena's attacks)
Amaterasu Ohkami for healing to max health ASAP

There only seems to be one major threat and that's Athena's Starburst, which will destroy me no matter what, even if I pop Keeper of Rainbow. Thanatos would be useful there, but that would only give me 5 turns of safety when I would need much more to be able to destroy her. Athena starts using Starburst at <15% HP, and it would take two Luci blasts to take her out from there, so that would be 35 turns of waiting. Which will mean stones no matter what (but honestly even if I use 5 stones here it's a better reward than putting it into the golem and knight machine).

If Cu Chulainn can be poisoned, he's absolutely no threat and can be eliminated on the first turn, so I don't have to worry about his multihit.
Siegfried doesn't have any multihits but if Nebradisk can absorb his attacks and Amaterasu/Drawn Joker can provide enough healing in two turns to get me to max, it's just a stallfest from there.
Even Athena's normal multihit won't be too much of a problem if I can manage 12000 HP somehow... I think.
It's just that one last move that perplexes me.

Any thoughts?

I'm curious as to how you'll down Gigas before he attacks; I know I can't with what I have. Like, every team on PDX that involves Lucifer in some way says "spend x stones on floor 1".

Like, looking at your padherder I'd suggest either Suzaku or U&Y as your leader if they were a bit higher leveled, with other subs of decent strength as well. Only leader I have in that vein is Ame no Uzume and I don't have a lot of fire mons, so I'm probably skipping Athena this time around, myself.

My favorite team comp ever on PDX (aside from Departure Tower's 6x Kagu build) is for Athena and starts as follows:

"If you have 8 stones, it is very easy. (Neptune is not required) 1st round - use 8 stones-"

About athena, yeah, gigas is going to be a stone eating problem. Also, thanatos will not help you with athena's starburst because by that time she's green not light.

What about a resolve build for Gigas? If you can get healed up adequately it shouldn't be a problem, right? :p

Anyway I've decided I'm not gonna go for it. Nowhere near ready yet. I do wanna set my sights on a Hera descend though. Having a grav-user will be very useful.

EDIT: Did a rare egg pull anyway. Got a mandrake. I already have an Alraune :persona:

Ive never done athena so im only going by pdx which is incorrect on occasion so if im mistaken blame pdx. But resolve will not help with gigas either cuz his attack is multi-hitting, first hit will bring you down to 1 (or below 70%), and the next 2 will plaster you.

Its unfortunately a dungeon pretty much specifically designed to require a burst team.

Also 3 genies? Gg. Id keep all 3 though in case i get a 4th or 5th. Then a full genie party for perma dark dungeon immunity (or did they require skillups too, i forgot)

Twinlits is still dumb. I straight up need dark and fire in my 4 combo and probably a bit more combo to do this with bastet- and then I'm still stoning on dub mythlits...

honestly I should just hold out and use horusu team :v Bastet's not too good besides mass cats.

GRYPS RIDEEEER ;_;

The lengths to which DMeta users will go to get this damn thing is ridiculous. I rolled like 20 times during the Dark carnival (half of those stones were refund stones though), and there were a couple people on the PAD forums that spent $180 (got one) and $300 (didn't get one)

I have Dragon Rider, but it's not the same. It's honestly not absolutely critical to my team though since I have most all the other pieces (D/D Bats, Dragon Rider, King Flamie, D/L Yomi, Byakko) etc.

i wish the chaser rate was higher though, cause i could really use one for legendary conditionals

but i hear the drop rate for chasers is higher in the newer pirate dragon dungeons so maybe i should just wait

I think I'm coming to the conclusion that I really need to just sit down and force myself to develop UmiYama because x25 is nothing to take lightly and seems to be the key to descends and such soooooooo yeah. So right now my currently planned team is (with provided cost, just assume lower forms for now aside from Venus and Vampire who are already fully evolved)

UmiYama
Love Deity Chaos Venus (light/dark coverage and can set up combos with Change the World)
Verche/Drops (light coverage as well as light orb conversion) OR Susanoo for grass coverage and stalling
Dark Liege, Vampire Duke (hearts to dark, also good dark/water coverage with good stats)
Echidna or Susanoo for stalling
UmiYama friend

It should work, right?

...right?

triangles

  • gotta stock up on dark matter
  • each pound of which weighs over 10,000 pounds

New rule: no more farming higher level dungeons that require some degree of alertness when sick.  Managed to wipe twice in Ocean of Heaven because I forgot to turn on King Shynee for Neptune yaaaaaay (no not yay)
But hot damn, having a second Valk is pretty sweet for farming that place, double so when yours is fully skilled aww yeah.
