On the topic of control decks, as well as people surrendering instantly when you gain a large amount of life... has anyone else tried to make a control shaman with Healing Wave yet?

I made one (since I got two of them as well as one Elemental Destruction from my packs so far), and although I am of course lacking a bunch of good cards (like a second earth elemental or more powerful legendaries maybe), it seems to be doing alright. Then again, I am only around rank 11~10, but hey.  :3

Typical arena right there.

Meanwhile... I now know the soul-crushing despair of having MC-Tech steal your by far biggest minion, which was only possible because you used your paladin hero power last turn, leading to a loss of an otherwise totally closed-out game, when you are currently 6/2 in arena. ...yeah.  :colonveeplusalpha:

Brawl is Druid mode again. Literally finding everyone playing standard Druid.

I managed to win with an Inspire-Token Paladin but that was mostly because the Druid I faced was a potato and opted to go face over killing my Murloc Knight. Who made a Spiritfin 2nd. I then played Chomaggius.

Also 6/5 Dudes [Chromaggius gave me Quatermaster Dupes + Warhorse Trainer] and the Druid used both Swipes before I dropped Onyxia. [He already knew I was playing Dragons. I'd played Chro and Consort after. He knew my deck was token-heavy. I wonder if he figured it out after I said THANK YOU after Swipe #2?]

RIP in patrons

Specifically:
The following balance change will be made in an upcoming patch:

Warsong Commander now reads: Your Charge minions have +1 Attack.

About time. Not the nerf I WANTED [This outright removes Patron instead of nerfing it] but it probobly fixes Warsong Commander from being abused again.

But seriously Patron was fixed simply by making Warsong work like Tundra Rhino; giving it's Charge as a conditional as long as the target remains under the threshold [And Warsong stays alive]. Because that stops the idiotic Frothing OTK's.

Although; Warsong Commander is now more or less a strictly worse Raid Leader. [It has +1 HP but only buffs Charge...]

. . . seriously? What?

Any chance a community outburst against that is gonna cause them to change this? Because...  this is worse than Riot balancing.

"Hey guys, this card has worked like X forever, lets change it a bit to work well with the newly released card"
*works TOO well when combined with the newly released card and a few others*
"Hm. Instead of reverting the functionality, lets make the card completely useless."

Reverting the bug-fix (and changing the text to match that functionality) would have been kinda dumb, but alright, you could at least still play regular math warrior. Changing it to Tundra Rhino functionality would have been best, still enabling the basic Patron combo without the cheesy addons (and frothing in particular). This is... no.

What's next? Nerfing Dr. Boom by summoning the boom bots to your opponent's side of the field?
Then again, in that case, you would at least still be able to disenchant it. Unlike Warsong Commander.

All the meta cards before have been nerfed to unplayable (unless there were a combination of cards nerfed together which formed the crux of the deck). There haven't really been nerfs in Hearthstone that bring a card to just balanced only.

Blizzard is still playable.
Unleash the Hounds is still playable [Although that got buffed back up]
Warsong Commander was playable until this 2nd nerf
Sylvanas Windrunner is still playable
Eaglehorn Bow is still playable
Dark Iron Dwarf is still playable in the place it was played [Arena]
Abusive Sargent is still playable [Used to be able to target enemies too to enable Shadow Words/BGH]
Defender of Argus is still playable
Frost Nova is still playable
Flame Imp is still playable
Argent Commander is still playable
Sunfury Protector is still playable
Twilight Drake is still playable
Ancient of Lore is still playable [Used to heal 8]
Wrath is still playable [In beta this used to hit face too]

Not gonna go any deeper than those Beta changes.

Out of those cards, the only extremely polarising cards were Twilight Drake and  Sylvanas which were too strong to not be nerfed. Warsong wasn't really played post-nerf pre-Patron. UTH was reworked, so I guess that's a valid card that was changed from non interactivity into a playable combo piece. Flame Imp and Argus also probably fit with Twilight Drake and Sylvanas for being noticeably ahead of other cards to and nerfed to a still playable stage.

Probably the best examples of a good nerf would be those and Wrath/Eaglehorn which bumped a deck down in strength, keeping the idea of the deck the same but lowering its power level.

You didn't see pre-nerf Freeze Mage did you? Cone of Cold; Blizzard and Frost Nova were all nerfed by 1 mana [And Pyroblast by 2] and Freeze Mage is still going on strong virtually unchanged.

And Frothing combo decks were playable before Patron. They just were nowhere near as obnoxious. Warsong also saw play in Hobgoblin decks as rare as those were they were *playable*.

Still; they#re a pretty big list of cards Blizzard has nerfed that are still playable or even strong. Blizzard doesn't just nerf cards out of the game. The only cards Blizzard has nerfed out of the game entirely are Starving Buzzard and now Warsong Commander, both of which had caused problems and been nerfed before. [Buzzard was a 2/2 initially; I forgot to list that one in my last post]

It seems that if a card requies nerfing a 2nd time Blizzard kills it.

Though they probably would not be played today, I consider the Pagle and Tinkmaster nerfs to be quite significant in terms of % inclusion during their day.

A winning deck can be very inexpensive. This is all basics, commons, and a couple adventure-mode cards.
Of course, if I had more things it would be better (Knife Juggler, another MotL, etc)

Edit: I forgot Ice Block is not common, sorry

Two rares and a WAAAAAAAAH GOLDEN LEGENDARY!

Ok should I disenchant this and make something like Mal'Ganis or keep it?

(I've been trying to make a demonzoolock.)

(Also I got this pack from watching Kiro for a daily, so thanks Kiro o/)

Isn't that the pack you just got from spectating my game? If so...

<----- Lucky charm!

Harrison is a steady tech choice, but mostly used by other control decks (Druid, Warrior, some Paladin). Even if you are worried about enemy Paladins in the upcoming meta, I'm not sure it's "that" useful. Muster comes on Turn 3 and most charges are used up while the 5/4 body is iffy on Turn 5. Destroying one Truesilver charge is ok. In all honesty, Harrison is better used against Warriors to deny the Death's Bite deathrattle on their own terms. And people seem to be shying away from Control Warrior a bit as we get more aggro-y again.

Edit: Harrison is extremely good against Rogue, but Rogue is in such the dump that I'd not be worried about it. Ditto with Shaman and Doomhammer (I'm so happy my Shaman can Doomhammer freely without too much fear of Harrison, pretty much only see Druids use it this month).

Mal'Ganis does have a pretty strong impact on Warlock demonzoo and Warlock in general. Only pure zoolock can't fit him in. He pretty much gets value by being cheated out with a Voidcaller. I don't really see Demonzoo enough to judge how much Mal'Ganis truly swings the board but in a close game, it's pretty much a 7 health taunt.

Mal'Ganis is way more fun and will always be viable even if you have to manually play him on Turn 9 so I think it's fine dusting Golden Harrison for it.

Recently started playing this horrible (because it's addicting) game. Got Deathwing from my first pack of cards. Had a hilarious moment in one of the matches, when the opponent played Faceless Manipulator and then Assassinate on it.
So far mainly playing Warlock and Hunter.

You would imagine that would be the top post on the /r/hearthstone subreddit, but instead, we have this huge tussle between ADWCTA/Merps and the Heartharena programmer at over 2,500 upvotes from each side's post. This is legitimate juicy drama which I find fascinating to read about from a business perspective.

I also am not going to play the adventure until I go home to my PC rather than play it on my phone.

For those of you wanting spoilers about LoE:

www.hearthpwn.com/guides/1079-the-league-of-explorers-a-hearthstone-adventure

All the cards. 45. Far more than other adventures.

Spoiler:
Murloc Tinyfin is powercreep on Wisp [It has Murloc]
Huge Toad is powercreep on Bloodfen Raptor [It's even a Beast!]

Can't see anymore outright powercreep but having as many cards made completely irrelevant in a 45 card expansion as TGT made irrelevant is somewhat worrying. Even if they are bad cards. It's the first non-basic card made obsolete [Even if it IS Wisp].

Also first 10 mana spell in the game is coming for... Merloc Paladin. That is so wrong. Murloc decks should not be reaching Turn 10 anyway

Spoiler:
If the card released is a strictly better version of a card that was simply bad (which is the case of both), it is not powercreep, not by a long shot.

Ugh, i am sick as hell of agro-hunters and secret padladins. Made it to rank 15 and called it. Now things are fun again, since usually you don't face this bullshit in casual. My kinda experimental warlock deck not helping the issue, but usually i win most of the time against anything else, save for a dragon priest with a good initial hand.
