So I started up Hearthstone again and went into ranked mode and it feels like I've gone against the same three decks every game.
Everyone with the same deck is pretty bad though so whatever.

I just had one of the silliest games. I was playing against priest as priest. I was using Thoughtsteal and kept getting Thoughtsteals. Even one Thoughtsteal gave me 2 Thoughtsteals. I didn't care I never played anything for 5 turns straight, I just kept using Thoughtsteal. I stopped getting Thoughtsteal the turn he had lethal, so I summoned 3 Golden Northshire Clerics in a row. It would've been 5 if I didn't use my own Northshire Clerics before the Thoughtsteal-a-thon.

I'm in Arena.

I use Arcane Intellect and draw Dark Iron and Big Game Hunter, which allows me to kill anything with 5+ damage he pulls out while bringing 2 minions onto the field

Warrior pulls out Alexstraza and uses it on me

Laugh like a maniac as I Big Game it immediately, get board control with my Dark Iron [Buffing my Azure that was out] and Pyroblast for the win two turns later.

I've never seen Alexstraza in Arena, and that was so anti-climatic it was hilarious. Currently 5-2 with a Mage deck that didn't get a single Flamestrike or Poly in the draft, and one of those losses was actually a D/C. Oddly I have a strong earlygame with this deck [Mages usually don't get that strong earlys], backed up by a Ravenholt, x2 Fireballs and a Pyroblast to end it.

Also shiny new effects.

OK, this Preist has no cards in his hand, already has used one MC and has 15 cards left in his deck. I have lethal next turn if I play King Krush.

*Plays King Krush*

*Preist topdecks Mind Control*

Of. Course.

How does Uther even have that many cards in his hand yet has not lost yet against that board? Paladins are not known for their card-draw, even if they have alright card mill with HoW.

If it wasn't your turn I'd have expected the next cards played to be Equality and Consecrate; but the Triple Rag was sure to kill him.

I only gave him 2 mind visions, or maybe 3, 2 thoughtsteals, and he stopped playing 3 turns ago before I played my first Rag

PX is playing the kind of deck that floods the opponent with useless mind visions. I had 6 coins in my hand at one point playing against him.

Pulled Grommash in a pack

well it was fun priest but it's time to switch to warrior :V

Also got Millhouse rofl I'm tempted to play him in a fun deck to see if I can get turn 2 killed :V

Ranked Climb progress report Day 5: Rank 8, game is hard since I just keep seeing the same druid/warrior/warlock. You actually don't see hunters here anymore

Edit: Millhouse is actually pretty great as a turn 1/2 play if your opponent doesn't have a hand. Then I'm reminded of the rogue that played two sprints on the same turn :V

Edit2: Warriors are the new Hunter, literally all this P2W shit everywhere

not having shield slam makes handilock a nightmare

>drop giant + argus
>okay it's time

Welcome to P2W Warriors. You're gonna need Cairne, Ysera, Baron Geddon,  Grommash, 2 shield slams, Rag, etc. in order for it to work

Re: Hearthstone
« Reply #175 on: April 08, 2014, 07:50:57 PM »
I actually have most of those because of lucky arena packs

I'm only missing Rag and Shield Slams (And Ysera but she's not as important as the others)

Shield slams are really important though because I can't deal with high HP enemies otherwise (other than execute which I only get 2 of)

I also almost have Handilock but no Mountain Giants, Jaraxxus, and Leeroy

And Hunters but no Leeroy

Yeah somehow I managed to almost have every top tier deck without paying anything :derp:

Also I WISH I would face more hunters because I can hold them off no problem but it's all been DRUID DRUID HANDILOCK DRUID lately ughhh

Ugh another Druid and it's always just an auto lose. Without more big minions (ysera/rag) and removal (shield slam) it's just impossible to keep up lategame

The mirror match though I can handle really well

Well yeah, the control druid was built to counter the control warrior which was designed to counter the facroll huntard, which was made to counter the aggro warlock, which counters the handlock, which loops back around. Also, all the hunters either already reached legend or they're stuck around rank 10

Re: Hearthstone
« Reply #177 on: April 08, 2014, 09:43:08 PM »
What counters druid though? Handilock or hunter?

E: I guess handilock since druid lack removal.

I need some mountain giants then

This sounds like that gimmick game between TB and Crendor where somehow both sides got hands of nothing but coins.
