A new Touhou fangame...in Alice?!?

So, this all started when my 7th period teacher told our class that our new project was to create a game in Alice. So I decided to make a Touhou game. Right now, I only have some of the main menu done but hopefully I can have a demo out soon. I plan for it to be the normal length of a Touhou game plus it will have Extra and Phantasm stages. It will only have Normal and Lunatic difficulty though.

For those who used Alice before(Probably only me :derp:). Do you know what I could use do to make creating bullet patterns easier. The only thing I have in my head right now is taking some  circles, put them into a pattern, and then copying them until I have a pattern.

Does Alice allow you to path bullets using vectoring like you can do in danmakufu?
The ultimate joke would be making Wriggle an EX Boss, but there being a game-breaking bug in her final spellcard that made it impossible to catch.

I once had a class in Alice, and guess what - I had the same idea :V
Unfortunately, it would be a real hassle to implement from what I've done with it. Alice isn't particularly versatile. I won't say it's impossible... but I can't help but discourage the idea.

I really hope you can accomplish your goal of making a game in Alice  :). I have used this "Alice" program before, and I remember it being very complex and difficult to work with. All I did with it was make animations, which strangely look similar to something out of MikuMikuDance...

But anyways, good luck with you're game :)!

I've worked with Alice. Good times. At the time it wouldn't be able to handle something on the level of a real game so good luck with that.

Well, I guess I can give everyone an update on how it's going.
I just found out today that you can create your own person in Alice, so I don't have to rely on the characters included with the software as much.I don't know why I just learned this today :derp:
I am almost done with the main menu. All I have to do is make it so that you can get to the character select screen from all of the difficulty select screens.

Theoretically, you probably would be able to do that. In reality, though I wouldn't know where to start with that.
Hopefully, I can have a demo soon although I at least want to finish stage 1before I release a demo.

so my first programming class in University is to make game with... Alice, anyone have good introductory tutorial for this? I wanna make a touhou game with this too :3


edit: k.. how do I import Alice model or sprite into this thing?
