I don't think that starting a new theme would fix that. We should just take it easy and wait. If everyone is still too busy they'll state it (like it has been done in the past) and if that is the case then starting a new theme would really not be helpful. |

Oh what this was still a thing? :V I would suspect lack of knowhow or willpower to commit to theme with standard rules to contribute to lack of participation, especially on things like the current theme or the TF2 one. |

The general amount of interest in this contest has fallen off. I don't think the "festival" topic is completely to blame for this, but it doesn't help. "Festival" implies both "a gathering" and "a setting", requiring the artist to draw multiple people engaging in appropriate behavior in a well-defined location. Even a rough drawing will take a lot of time, which prevents anyone from participating unless they make a significant commitment. That said, if this is going to be the final round, I should at least submit something. |
