PoFV needs DirectPlay?

I haven't played PoFV in such a long time and today when I tried to launch it, it said I need to install DirectPlay. Does anyone with Win8 has this problem?

Nevermind, I installed DirectPlay and it worked again for me. Lock this thread, please.
