Okay! So I got a minor PB, and while it was only 40mill, I actually move up to second place with this run so I decided to post it. And I don't know how much longer it'll be until I actually get a 2.5bil run. Could take days, weeks, or god forbid months. And I'm probably not gonna post another update here until I get 2.5bil. Lunatic - ReimuB Mino - 2,453,017,290 - C - 0.178% - Replay So this run entered stage 6 with the perfect conditions for a 2.5bil run. I got scared on Yuyuko's third spell and didn't milk it fully though, losing score. I also didn't milk her fourth spell all the way either. However, because I did the double border method for the penultimate, and didn't die or bomb anything prior during the fight, I still had the small chance of getting 2.5bil as long as I captured Resurrection Butterfly. ....Unfortunately, I failed. I decided that it wasn't worth border breaking the spell because I honestly don't think I would've hit 2.5bil without the capture. Maaaaybe I could've though. And if that's so, then that's truly tragic. (I think it would've been like 2.48 or something with border abuse). Alas, I ended up getting hit on my second PoC even though it was shocking to me that I actually hit the butterfly. It's a shame, because I liked this run a lot better than the previous one. The stage 4 actually went decently for once. It is a bit satisfying knowing this day did have something come out of it. I've been playing PCB all day. So getting a PB, even if minor, still encourages me. |

Lunatic - ReimuB Mino - 2,544,015,550 - C - 0.162% - Replay Yaaaaay! Landmark goal passed! This run started off okay, although making that weird mistake on Alice's midboss spell kinda hurt. I also failed to get the cherry+ in order to do the Alice first nonspell trick, so I had to skip it all together. I managed not to make a dumb death on Alice's fight though, and I was also able to do the stage 4 borders right. Stage 4 was mostly okay, although I kinda messed up on the post lily section. I also had to deathbomb on the Prismrivers last spell, causing me to have to use a second bomb in order to get the items in stage 5's opening section. I also randomly died at the end of stage 5 and then SOMEHOW hit a bullet on Youmu's first non! Those mistakes really cost me. If that wasn't enough, I got hit on the spam section prematurely (didn't suicide because I wanted a MAX life finish), so I had to bomb and gray some items. Luckily, what saved this run was the good yuyuko fight. Not only did I milk the third and fourth spells really well, I was also able to capture Resurrection Butterfly! Shame about the deathbomb on the penultimate, but I was nervous. Now that the barrier is down, it's time to stride towards 3bil! I don't expect that for a loooong time though. And that's quite alright with me. For now, I am pleased. :) |
