I don't drive silly. And I say hit but it's more like 'firmly bumped' because I was right in front of it and it went completely over the pedestrian line. I was well enough to walk to work and tell my co-workers what happened, and they were giving me pretty 'Why are you even here' stares!

I'm bad at driving and have a lil' motor scooter, and as soon as I moved to a place 6~8 minutes away from work instead of 1.5 minutes of straight driving with no turns or lights or significant traffic, I started getting in an accident like once a month and bandaging myself after walking into work

so I know how this goes :C

Okay when I read over that again, that might sound really bad but I've never actually like, been hit by a car or anything! These are comparatively minor accidentals like me falling over, or me falling over and then sliding slightly under the vehicle infront of me, or trying to stop way too late because forgetful and then falling and sliding on pavement into the middle of an intersection

okay actually that might still sound kind of bad but I was mostly okay! My favorite coat needs some sewing though. :C

Well, it was stopped! (This is why it happened- they unexpectedly stopped in the middle of a road for a U-turn and was one of the rare, rare people who drive below the speedlimit that my scooter barely reaches so they were actually kinda close) They didn't even really notice, they just kind of drove off. I think them doing so put another big scratch on the scooter since it was slightly jammed in, but that's not really a big deal, there's plenty of those >>

At some point I'll remember that while I'm busy SLAMMING ON THE BRAKES IN PANIC OH DEAR I should probably stick my legs out to keep the scooter from falling over. Then again, with all the momentum it has, if I did that in a few of these incidents I might've broken an ankle instead, which actually -would- have been pretty bad.

That was probably the worst accident in long-term though because when the scooter fell over, the impact jarred my right wrist/thumb area enough to mess it up in some way (which didn't come near hitting the pavement or anything) and it still hasn't gotten 100% better after two months-ish. I've been doing stretches on it and stuff whenever I think about it (read:a few times every several days) to help it gradually get better, because now it only acts up during comparatively "big" movements I wouldn't normally be doing.

Which is why this is run after the break; but I had the impression that the break was just the immediate festive part. The new year period would be fine. Thus the year 'ends' with my game running.

Also, one random thought I had in regards to the hold queue was that it would go something like this:
For every game that is played while yours is on hold adds a counter to your game.
When your game is actually ready and completely set up, you can get yourself placed back into the queue.
However, depending on the number of counters, you'll be reinserted into the game that many positions down.
So let's that that three games are played while yours is on hold before you're ready.
Then, when you're ready, your game would be put into the third position in the queue.
People that don't have their setup ready after being placed on hold and claiming they're ready can get booted to the back of the queue.

Personally, I see it as an incentive to ready the fuck up faster because if you're taking that long to get your setup ready in the first place you're probably not doing it right so it's more of something that rewards people that are quick about it and weeds out people that aren't serious about modding.
At least that's what I was thinking.

EDIT: Then again I guess "ready up before 2 games" or something like that achieves a similar effect. Hmm.

Dormio:Sometimes people aren't hosting simply because they don't want to at the time, rather then their setup isn't ready. Also, a system like yours would also encourage people to get back in the queue... while their setup still isn't ready, because "I'll totally have it ready before my turn comes up again!". I mean, yeah, they could probably just get kicked from the queue for a repeat offense, but :V

I think removing from hold after X games if it's just a matter of never being prepared to host, is fine. Most (or at least several) of the games on hold right now have been there for a loooong time, with no apparent intention of being hosted anytime soon, implying that the people don't really actually want to host mafia.
